Pretty neat video! I know it’s definitely not easy getting started. But the most important part is that you’re making videos whatever that may be. I’m sure eventually you’ll find a niche you’re good at. Keep it up!

I'm very happy to be one of the 1st sixth persons. And yes the sub moves very very very slow for a while or for a long time. But if you look at the views you'll notice that someone on this planet is watching your vlogs. They may not be a subscriber but there watching your channel. Some people choose not to leave comments they just watch. But I kind of treat KZitem like a long term investment, the growth comes in time. At least that's the way I look at it. At 1st I looked at KZitem as a way of me making money for my family. But after doing KZitem for about a year I realized I love making content and is not about money anymore. At this point I can care less if I make one cent because I will still continue to make some kind of content even if it's just a 52 second clip. Keep pushing ahead man..

Super words of wisdom! I can tell you are an experienced KZitemr/ Vlogger. It’s interesting how the money aspect is not your driving force any longer. They say that passion is the most important quality to possess when pursuing something like this and I have to say....you have the passion!!! Fun times are ahead! Thanks for jumping on board and thank you for the encouragement!!

This is a hella long comment but wanted to share info.... maybe I should of emailed it. :O Oh well .... Here is my experience from vlogging for 1 year straight so far. I think I did daily uploads for about 8 months before I had to shift my priorities. You friends and family have to totally be on board. You need to invest 200% of your day in it with filming and editing. Your family needs to feel you are not ignoring them and you pretty much can't have friends. No time will be spent with them. Picture making a full on mix tape or 4 track ep, fully produced you are happy with, do the artwork for it, fully promote it all in one freakin' day, all by yourself, then start the process over again the next day. It will drain you creative wise and mentally.... all while still trying to taking care of everyday life things and your family. Don't ask how. haha. You can't film and edit every day AND take care of a child. I found a flow by filming 5-7 different vlogs on weekends. I blocked out Sundays and just filmed planned out vlogs or shows and put them in the can or shelved them. Then, that would free up my days to do life stuff and edit here and there through out the day and then work on them at night till they were done. I sleep about 3-4 hours a day. Like last Winter for the holidays, I really didn't want to waste my time vlogging for the holiday so I worked twice as hard doing 2 vlogs a day in Nov/Oct but canned 30 of them for Dec. I just only uploaded during December like 1 hour a day and just enjoyed the days and holidays. You will have the same issues and big youtubers but in different ways even if you are small. At some point you will get frustrated nobody watches your content. I want to quit every day. I see so many people quit that started the same time as me or before me. That motivates me to not quit. I'm in it too deep now. Can't. I've had my channel since 2007ish but only uploaded film projects like twice a month but I didn't understand or cared to understand youtube till I discovered the vlog life last year and wanted to try to chase the vlog dream. I was monetized up till they changed the rules last November. 8 months later, I should be getting it back next month. Stats look like it can be a part time income. I try to do a least 2-3 fully over produced projects a week now. Less uploads but more production. Working a bit more for me but same time invested. Different for everyone. My goal was to have 100k subs by the end of 2018. haha Realistic goal was 10k subs. Reality is I is 5k subs now but I doubt that even. Different for everyone though. Researching big youtubers, their first 2-3 years, they honestly only got like 300-500 subs a year. By year 5 they hit 10k subs. I noticed when channels finally hit 10k subs, then the ball gets rolling and they hit 100k subs in 3 months, then 1 mil subs in 6 months. Of course there are exceptions out there. You can really only expect 10% of your sub count for view counts. I've had 5 viral videos and 4 of them got blocked over time. 1 still cooks monthly. I really only want 100ik subs because I want that damn play button. I personally feel thats the only way I ever get some type of film award in my life. Haha I'd be satisfied with getting 10k-100k views on each video which could be $50-$100 a day. I used to make $300-$400 a month before I got demonitized. You are a good speaker and speak well in front of the camera. You have that going for you. I have no business be in front of a camera but I'm the only content I have. :/ You still work on music? Maybe work on music every day and vlog that process and struggle. Make royalty free tracks and promote that to give away free for vloggers. If you are researching, I'm sure you see people are all ways looking for free music. You will try many ideas. Like everyone else, I watch Caey Neistat like everyone else and tried doing daily life vlogs. He makes it look easy but it works for him because he is rich and has an interesting life. Nobody wants to see me go to the local store and do laundry. I could go on forever on this stuff so I'll just stop here. I actually have to go do real laundry not but I'm not going to film it. :)

P BAM VLOGS Wow!!! Thank you for your amazingly informative and personal comment! I learned a lot from reading it and it confirms the challenges that are ahead. I enjoy creating videos, but I hope it never gets to the point where the stress or pressure isn’t worth it. I’m willing to sacrifice, but not everything. I will definitely be following your journey on YT! You are a great example of persistence, work ethic and diligence!!!

Derrick since this was a more talking head video, I wasn’t sure if I should add it? I briefly flashed the subscribe message in the beginning of the video. Just trying different things. There is about 3-4 seconds of black at the end. I’m going to add end screen links in that section by the weekend. I’ve got a part two to this video that will be up soon as well.

Just make your videos better and better and get some experience recording and editing. So far so good, but there is a lot to learn and do and see and experiment with.
