I cooked for a college football team for a season and it is NOT easy. Them boys big af but are still extremely picky with what they eat. They fired the dude before me cuz the players were just not happy. I remember the first day at work a group of the olinemen were watching me cook thru the window grunting like excited pigs or something.i figured it out tho a lot of them still have very childish taste buds and don't like any of their food to touch or they gotta have their meat cooked to their exact specification. Like they'll all tell you I like this medium, and that means a different one for each of them. Or there's a big dude who's on a macros plan and you gotta trick him to eat vegetables by putting a little cheese on the top of a salad or tacos. It's down right exhausting cuz whatever you're cooking you're cooking A LOT. don't get me started on Louisiana boys who can't explain what they like , you just gotta give them the food and either they freeze and you know they think it's yucky or they proceed to just start crushing that rice and gravy it's LUDICROUS to watch

“They dont like their food touching “ thatll piss me off honestly its not that serious unless you have to opposites on your plate , like i dont want my watermelon touching my burrito ok 🤷🏾♂️ fair enough i understand. But to say something like i dont want my mac n cheese to touch my fried chicken would have me heated frfr😂😂😂

That crispy outer crust of a steak is what makes it, he put the butter in way too early so it burnt and that’s where a lot of the black char came from

I hope the student-athletes get nutrition advice regarding the dangers of sugar, the importance of feeding their colon (gut health/gut microbiome) and the benefits of intermittent fasting (one version: all meals done within 8-10 hour interval or less). Those three things. (Of course there are others.) Need alternatives to sugar infused cereals for breakfast. Suggest "overnight oatmeal" (oatmeal soaked overnight in milk, or better, kefir - bio-active milk). Add banana and berries, perhaps some cacao powder and/or almond butter. Have pickles, sauerkraut and kimchi along with other gut friendly veggies like sweet peppers on the lunch and dinner buffet line. I'm seeing more 'No added sugar' on product labels. People are wising up. I know these are high-powered athletes but they can benefit from this advice.
