The word easter derived from Greek and Latin word "PASCHA", which is taken from the Hebrew "Pesach", meaning Passover. The Passover in Exodus 12:23. Paul was the first to connect the risen Christ to Passover in 1 Corinthians 5:7, he refers to Jesus as the paschal lamb who has been sacrificed for his people's salvation. Add to that the fact that Jesus celebrated the Last Supper with his disciples during Passover and it makes sense that even today the Feast of the Resurrection is connected with the Jewish holiday. 1 Corinthians 15:14 "If Christ has not been raised, then empty is our preaching; empty, too, is your faith." Passover Meal remembers the deliverance of Israel from Egypt, which was the central act of redemption in the Old Testament. Jesus now provided a NEW central of redemption to be remembered a new ceremonial. His last meal - what Christians called the "Last Supper" - was a Passover celebration. Paul, drawing a parallel with the sacrifice made by Jesus, referred to Christ as the Paschal lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7); hence, the Christians view of Christ as the spotless Lamb of God who by his death freed mankind from the bonds of sin. John 1:29 says "The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, 'Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!'" Christ slain as a sacrifice to redeem us to God by his blood. The Cross was the payment and the empty tomb is the receipt. Death has NO hold on redeemed man. When God's love and man's hate battled at the cross, God's love won. Our glorified bodies do not look like the clay molds we are in now. I don’t think they recognized Jesus right away, cuz He’s beautiful now. His earthly flesh was ordinary, but His glorified body has to be so incredibly beautiful to look upon. His glorification was before creation...we will actually get to see Him how He Truly is & always has been. Disbelief is probably the initial reaction most would have. I guarantee you that He is beautiful now...He is perfect. We will be like Him when we see Him. I’m so very excited for that moment! Happy Resurrection Day & maranatha! 🙏🏻❤️

Since Jesus was raised from the dead, we can be resurrected in Him. Amen Lord Jesus. God bless you more! Alleluia!

The Gospel for the New Testament Church is 1 Cor. 15: 1-4 KJV and Rom. 3: 25 KJV explains it further. It's what Christ did for us that we're saved and it's by faith alone, not works. We're forgiven for all sins by Christ's shed blood.

Since Jesus was raised from the dead, we can be resurrected in Him. Amen!

I have heard that when the earth shook the blood of Jesus flowed through a crack at the foot of the cross, a dripped upon the mercy seat on the ark of the covenant, hidden in a chamber below
@FloridaGirl-

Matthew, Mark, and Luke documented the tearing of the veil in the temple after Jesus’ death on the cross. The ark would have been in the temple. In the holy of holies. The high priest was only allowed in the holy of holies once a year to sprinkle the blood on the mercy seat. It is VERY significant, that the veil in the temple was torn in two. From the top to bottom. (Mark 15.38, Luke 23:45, John 19:30). Jesus is now our high priest. Hebrews 4:14 “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. He tore open the veil IN THE TEMPLE. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. 4:16. Christ is the only mediator . John 14:6 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 1 Timothy 2:5-7 5 For there is one God, and ONE mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; According to the New Testament, Jesus was crucified at a spot outside Jerusalem called Golgotha. Golgotha, a skull-shaped hill in biblical Jerusalem, is the place of Jesus’ crucifixion. It is mentioned in all four books of the Gospels. Also known as Calvary, this site was directly outside Jerusalem's boundaries where Jesus was crucified. The temple were the holy of holies was housed was in Herod's Temple, the reconstructed Jewish holy temple that stood on the Temple Mount in the city of Jerusalem. (So the mercy seat wasn’t “hidden”, it was behind the veil, that was ripped in two, in the temple.). Christs blood was given ONCE and for all. This is why he said “It is finished” John 19:30 30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “IT IS FINISHED”. With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Please pray for me and my children. I’m losing hope. But my faith in Jesus won’t let me. I lost my job as a social worker because I declined the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health condition (Lupus) and heart disease. I’m on a bunch of medications including blood thinners. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth hospital. Since losing my job I’ve been struggling to make ends meet. I’m a single mother with two young autistic children. We are facing homelessness. We have nowhere to go. Struggling daily to provide groceries. I’m so ashamed and embarrassed over my situation. I am so overwhelmed, it’s so difficult on me. I am all alone no family nor friends to help me. I have been put down and mocked because of my circumstances. Please keep me and my children in your prayers this easter. Even though I’m struggling bad. I still have FAITH God will provide for me and my children abundantly. In Jesus name.
