It's tempting to judge entire nations based on limited information, like crime rates or anecdotes about a few people. But this narrows our view. Instead, let's focus on learning from each other. Kenya & Nigeria, for example, you can celebrate each other's strengths. Kenyans are known for their warmth and hospitality, while Nigerians have a reputation for hard work and academic achievement. No society is perfect, and by sharing knowledge and best practices, they can both improve. Perhaps Kenya can adopt some of Nigeria's educational drive, while Nigeria might learn from Kenya's strong sense of community. Collaboration is far more beneficial than comparison.

My recent experience in Kenya (December-February) was overwhelmingly positive. Yes, there are pockets of corruption as in any country, but I prefer to focus on the professionalism I encountered with the authorities. Overall, judging entire nations based on negativity is unproductive. Take Kenya's coffee industry for instance. Kenyan coffee is renowned for being some of the world's finest, and that's what I choose to promote - the excellence Africa has to offer. This focus on quality and fair trade practices, ensuring farmers are well-compensated, is what truly uplifts communities. The same approach can be applied across the board. Instead of KZitemrs churning out race-baiting crime content, let's see more collaborations that highlight the strengths of different countries. Kenya can share its agricultural expertise, while Nigeria, as you mentioned, could offer its educational prowess. By working together, African nations can truly thrive. The key is to address any shortcomings within the system to ensure everyone plays by the rules, but negativity only hinders progress. Let's promote what unites us, and work together for a brighter future.

The purpose of this video was to highlight the prejudices some Kenyans/other African nations hold against us, not to endorse them. I see how these could have instead perpetuated negative stereotypes and i regret if it came across that way. We need to know and be aware of these stereotypes regardless and change the narrative because a lot of young Nigerians are being treated unfairly because of them.

@@talesofanexplora I completely agree. I too hold a Nigerian passport, and the perception of Nigerian travelers can be frustrating. However, I believe profiling is never the answer. Our country has so much to offer the world, from the incredible work ethic and academic prowess of our people, to the vibrant artistic and musical scenes. It's true, as the saying goes: with a clear conscience, you have nothing to fear. As Nigerians, we have the responsibility to defy stereotypes through our actions. Let our accomplishments speak for themselves, rather than the negativity spread by a small number of people. We are a nation defined by our hard work and achievements, not by what others might say.
