Just two things I wanted to address here: First, my conclusion makes it sound a little bit like I don't recommend this beer. I wholeheartedly recommend it. I want to clarify what I mean by not going really far out of your way to try it. Hype can have a widely varying effect on your perception of a beer. So if you're expecting it to be the absolutely most amazing thing you've ever had, well, even the best beers would struggle to hit that mark for some people and situations. There are lots of beers out there now that meet the quality of beer like this, some may even be in your own backyard. When you consider the context what this beer meant at the time this came out, it was mind-bogglingly good and it defined a style; now, it serves as a benchmark for not just the style it helped create, but for well-crafted beer overall. It didn't come across because of some issues with footage (new camera woes) and I was far less eloquent by the end of that tasting. I hit that beer pretty hard and fast, as you do when a beer is as delicious as Heady. It is a fantastic beer and if you do have an easy opportunity to get it, you'd be foolish not to buy it. But pursuing it intensely may just leave you disappointed, which would be a shame for this beer. Second, definitely going back to the lavalier mic until I can better soundproof this room or figure out the mic I bought for this camera better. Sorry for the echo and noise, I tried to minimize it as best as I could. Cheers and thanks for watching the video and reading this comment.

Awesome review brother. Pretty sure I'd be hard pressed trying to sort one of these here in Melbourne but I'll keep an eye out. Cheers

I’ll try and age one for 10 weeks now, good tip. But in this day & age Heady seems to be more in the pocket of WCDIPAs like Elder or Dinner than is like Monkish/OH-style sweet candy 8% haze… cheers.

It definitely does exist in this weird in-between spot where it was born in a time that bitterness and its intensity was still THE major facet of IPAs so that shows but also softened things up and was striving for more toward the wide array of aromas and flavors from hops. Its influence is definitely felt on both sides of the aisle. Cheers 🍻
