I am surprised by the shift to make Uganda a victim of the riots in Kenya. The correlation they are seeing is spurious and not of a direct attack on Ugandan infrastructure. Kenyans love Ugandans and the Gen Z were peaceful in the 3 weeks demonstrations. The infrastructure and property destroyed was done by goons paid by politicians. I challenge the facts provided by some of your panellists who are serving in the Ugandan government, they are biased in opinion Secondly, the panellists are living in the past. Constitutionally the power belongs to the people. The government was put in place to serve the interests of the people and not of foreign puppets. When government goes rogue, the people are allowed to take back power they delegated. Third, Kenya has a progressive constitution. we are not using a colonial constitution. Kenya knows its problems. And the Kenyan populace have a solution to their problems. Uganda can only take lessons as it is, they can't advise. Uganda lives in a glass house, they can't afford to throw stones.

You know one who driving using his mouth zzzzzzz, doesn't knock. Kenyans have never been peaceful nor democratic. They are sways sitting on a time bomb. How many people died during Ochuka's alleged take over of Moi's govt, how about during the political wars between auto, uhuru and raila. It always happens within a few hours or days. Suppose it stayed on for months and years like ither nations, kenya could be empty. One day Kenyans will appreciate Uganda's quietness to these 40 years. We know where we have come from. We are not a democracy neither a dictatorship, we are just enjoying our peace. What the riotous are destroying, they are going to pay for it thru more taxes; the worst is yet to come.

They think everything in terms of war and dismantling opponent and using such analogies to apply such principles in a democracy. They forget the rules of engagement in war states that all is fair in love and war. Democracy is literally the opposite of dictatorship that is propped up by enforcing dictatorial rule thru force. So Andrew is delusional to say you can apply those principles in a democracy. You people think it was a show of weakness when Ruto Finally listened to the electorate because you cannot fathom the idea of a president listening to the lesser beings called the citizens whilst in Kenya, the supreme power belongs to the people, not the president. Let me educate Ugandans over the protests in Kenya led by young people. The recent demonstrations in Kenya have been primarily triggered by public outcry against the proposed Finance Bill 2024. The bill includes significant tax hikes, which many Kenyans READ and argued, will exacerbate the already high cost of living. Specifically, the bill proposes taxes on essential items such as bread, electronics, and cooking oil, which has led to widespread discontent among the populace. Additionally, the government's push to increase taxes is driven by a need to raise revenue to manage the country's substantial external debt, which stands at about 68% of Kenya's GDP. This has sparked further anger as many citizens feel the government is prioritizing debt repayment over their economic welfare. However, the SIGNIFICANT concern was and is the government's mismanagement of public funds (some of which are borrowed then mismanaged) and corruption (some of which are budgeted). For instance, the funds are being misallocated, then the tax burden disproportionately imposed on the poor and middle class. To note, the demonstrations spread across major cities and towns, reflecting deep-seated frustration with the current administration's policies and transcending tribal, ignorance, and class politics which have historically undermined African development, pushing it to poverty. In short, we young Kenyans (are learned) and have read and understood OUR Constitution (especially Article 1: All POWER is FOR, and By the People... and SHALL BE EXERCISED ONLY according to the WILL of the PEOPLE). Therefore, we CANNOT sit back, ignorant of the FACT that public officials use taxes to enrich themselves (some of which, with borrowed money), then impose ADDITIONAL TAXES to pay the debt. We will use ALL the NECCESSAY MEANS to restore OUR BELOVED KENYA back on the right track. UG and AFRICAN youths should learn.

I expected (a minister) like Baryomunsi to understand that… the rejection of the 2024 financial bill doesn’t mean Kenya stops collecting taxes. It means the country moves on with the 2023 financial act… which is capable of raising taxes that can pay the debts, and enough left to run government if the money is managed well.

As a Kenyan listening to your debaters, it's just funny. The President has full control, it was just that the whole people had issues with the Finance bill. Then on the issue of Ministers, in our old constitution we could select MPs to be ministers. In the new 2010 constitution, it doesn't have such. No need to have a minister as mp.

The gentlemen on the left made Andrew drown in his own words. Mwenda needs to be educated that the people have the right protect their constitution in any ways available if the elected representatives fail to listen to their cry. M7 did the same in 1980 and his actions led to nearly 500,000 lives lost in gorilla war, compare that to the burnoing of the Uganda house and invading the parliament or senate. The debate is boring....... Mwenda and Ssemujju are just confused.

I think a Ugandan politician can't fit in Kenyan politics. Here the politicians serve the people and are liable when they fail. It seems it's different over there.

In Kenya, All sovereign power belongs to the people and not the president and can be exercised directly or may be exercised thru representatives. What we did as Kenyans after our representatives betrayed us, is we took back our sovereign power and exercised it directly. Simple to you Ugandan people. 😂. That phrase ends all your debates.

Even when you tell most Ugandans that Museveni is a dictator, they don't see how, and they get offended. Praising these kind of leaders paints a picture of a people who still have a long way to go, honestly.

James USA nashville from mbarara, I love listening to you guys ,in Africa we need to support small industries and factories already existing to multiply, and creat more industries based on law materials we have, in order to reduce un employment in Africa and that creates more taxes but if you tax un employed population it creates burden.

There are 3 things in Uganda you cant change. 1. PARENTS 2. NATIONALITY 3. PRESIDENT M7 All of these confused panelists should pause and take a moment to read the 2010 Kenyan Constitution before yapping here like pregnant mices. Dont carry the ugandan mentality when dissecting kenyan political affairs.

Mwenda talks too much........ All he meant to say is DECISION... the mastery of PROCRASTINATION............ all in all the kenyan president had to stand on his first DECISION promptly and then change that latter but slowly. Mans made 2 emotional decisions in well less than 36hrs. You cant change a decision quickly and as often as the way Ruto did.

What most people like Mwenda understand as democracy is what parliament comes out with. They don't care whether the MPs are puppets or how they come to Parliament wether by buying votes.by use of military.or deceit. That is where the constitution gives people power to install sanity to their governments. Fellow Ugandans when you're in a talkshow don't argue to win but discuss what helps humanity .Hon Chris and OO though they have to support their parties, but they don't spare rogue or bad actions or representation even from their party members. That is democracy. The only thing they are left with to be complete is to start advising president Museveni .it doesn't matter if he doesn't take the advice, but you will have done your part
