Life is teaching me that when i give someone help and the help is not recieved or my efforts are rejected, i retract my help. Do not cast pearls to swine. It may seem harsh but when someone genuinely needs your help, they will take it when you offer. You cannot find your peace in someone else's trauma. Be picky in whose burdens you choose to put on your shoulders.

Iife has taught me that It ( life ) is not easy and there will be challenges but as long as I am alive there is hope for better times ahead. Mental health and peace of mind is important. Restrict access. Make access to you private. Block or minimize contact with people who give off low vibrational energy or people who damage your mental health. I am stronger than I think. I have weathered the storms that life has sent my way so far. If there is one thing that will test your patience, perserverence, mental health and hope it is looking for a job. Job searching is work. 😢😢. As you pray for and look for a job, pray for a healthy working environent. Toxic colleagues or toxic bosses are the worst. Blood is not thicker than water. Some family members are horrible humans period. You do not have to maintain contact with your abuser ( whether financial, mental, verbal, spiritual or sexual) just because you happen to be related to them.

Vulnerability is just being yourself. I agree and resonate with this. When you go through stuff or open yourself emotionally or react to a situation that is when you dig deep and continue to find even deeper parts of yourself that you do not interact with all the time. Vulnerability is in different shades and phases and so you discover and learn more about yourself constantly. So when you embrace vulnerability you are embracing yourself and when you shun vulnerability you are just perhaps not ready to deal with that part of yourself at least at that particular time.

On the time vs money on black tax, I feel like the value of time or labour is more compared to the money. Monetary value definately plays a part in getting things moving for example in funerals but the only thing that the bereaved family will remember is who was by their side when everything was going down! Time and labour beats money.

On the topic of black tax; we definitely need to empower our family members to break that cycle. Also, there is a thing called codependency syndrome, mostly because we think we are responsible for these individuals (excessive emotional or psychological reliance). Life has taught me to stop a false sense of responsibility; I can not solve everything for everyone, also hilariously joked that you are not junior holy spirit. We really can not do God's work, let us do our part and leave the rest. 😅

The wisdom you are sharing Lyd is so profound. Last week I lost my auntie (my dad's sister) and only learnt about it on the day of her burial and it pained me so much that I did not get a chance to attend her send off and grieve her. Much as it was a hard moment it brought healing because for the first time in many years I felt I was ready to let go of my father wound and to forgive my late dad let go of bitterness I have been carrying for many years. It felt so healing. Somehow my aunt passing on led me to finally feel like the time is right to heal.

Personally, I skip the content on sex and anything else that is outside my alley. We all have that choice, I do not think anyone is forcing anyone to consume everything; take what helps and what you need and leave out what does not resonate I think of this as being equipped; you choose how you use the information or even if you will take it or skip it. Also, some things can be just for knowledge not really to go into practice. A wise person once said, your lack of knowledge on things does not mean they are nonexistent.😇 My thing about God being enough is deeper, it is that; when you read the Bible it has many solutions; love, faith, working hard, perseverance, teachings, encouragement, patience, prayer, seeking counsel from other more qualified people, grace, prosperity, etc.
