i am puzzle about 1 question...why so much foreigners or expats afraid of strict law in singapore ..strict law is for those people who dun behave well or people who like to challenge against the law. i dun know why so many people afraid of our strict law...unless they are here for trouble .if u behave well as an educated people...why worry about the law...i really dun understand.what they thinking.

For me it was more about not knowing all the laws, and therefore unknowingly get a harsh punishment. And the other reason was that there are stories about tourists Who are arrested for (alleged) Drug possession. Which still means death penalty. As a good Citizen it is very unlikely to happen, but the Chance is not 0. You'd just be unlucky to be used as Drug mule by someone else. And Singapore has no extradition agreement with the EU. So I was worried, even though I didnt plan to break any laws 🤷♂️

One thing people should know about Singapore is that it is a red-and-white flag country with Chinese majority. I get a lot of hate comments towards Chinese online eventhough I am not born in China. I am half Singaporean Chinese and half Malaysian Chinese.

As a singaporean, i am saying this truthfully: most singaporeans are not rude AT ALL and they don't complain very much.

Really nice to see you again, to be honest, i don't know so much about Singapore. That's one of the reasons why I'm here, to get some better informations and a different look than you get somewhere else as in TV shows or movies. I hope you have a wonderful time. Being rude and being honest are not automatically the same thing.

Aww thanks! Happy to share the little knowledge of the world that we have :) also happy to answer any more questions if you have any! It's true that honesty is not the same as being rude, but it also depends on the context. If I meet you on the street and tell you "I dont like your shoes"; this will Sound rude to you...

Singapore is very structured and organised. Carrying a gun is death penalty unlike in the west. Doing drugs and kidnapping are death penalty. Murder is death penalty but under the late president Wee Kim Wee who was very kind, he could pardon the criminal for leniency and set him free.

10:49 the laws are almost similar with Malaysia as well, but it is strictly enforced in Singapore. In Malaysia: people don't care and enforcement by government authorities are lenient.

Nice Video.
@jessandseb1040

Puuh! Schwierige Frage...

It’s very simple. Though having a significant population of Chinese ethnicity, at its base, Singapore is a southeast Asian country. The culture is very very SEA. So if you like countries like Japan or Korea, most likely you will not like Singapore. And vice versa.

Littering is one thing they should reinforce in Germany as well more strictly, even with the death penalty.....hahahaha...but living there sounds like no fun unless you are rich. I have seen and lived in many countries, but the quality of living is in Germany best. I am not talking about the friendlieness and the Ämter and the burocracy. Those really suck big time!!! Anyways, thank you for this video you both!!!!
@jessandseb1040

Hahaha it might be a little bit drastic, but you are correct Germans could do with a better "littering mentality" and clean up more after themselves ;) Singapore is fun in many ways, but not for "unprepared tourists" 😅 and we fully agree with your sentiment that Germany is great, but still has room for improvement :)

@@jessandseb1040 Well, the littering is an issue that cannot be solved. There are always idiots who dump their garbage anywhere. That is something you cannot change in germans unless you shoot them. Of course there are many things to improve in G. No 1 is respect and consideration. I really miss that since I lived in Japan for 7 years. Since I came back I cannot get used to this culture anymore. Thank god I have an absolutely fantastic japanese wife who shows me all the japanese aspects every day!!!

500k SGD is considered very expensive for a 3 bedroom flat but very cheap for a 4 bedroom flat. A more average rate is 400-450k for 3 bedroom flat and >500k for a 4 bedroom flat
