I wonder if most nba players are simply not being properly trained. LeBron never had a serious injury all his years in cleveland and miami. He had 1 small hamstring injury season 1 w Lakers and now the ankle. But that's nothing considering the huge amount of mins played. IDK I'm just rambling.
@sart1348
3 жыл бұрын
I'm not Brian, but no. The off season was shortened, the season itself is condensed with many more back to backs and many players have had covid. Factor in practice, travel and inconsistent conditioning (for those returning from Health and Safety protocols) and it's a perfect storm for increased injuries. Very unfortunate. Of course, some of the injuries this season were freak accidents but fatigue and overuse is often a factor.

I don't like seeing Sumner go to the ground swinging his leg wildly and causing Donovan to get injured. It was reckless and he should be fined or suspended. It doesn't need to be an extreme fine or lengthy suspension, but the league should send a message that this kind of reckless, out of control play that causes a player to get injured isn't OK.

That video is really helpful, I keep rolling my ankle that way but on my own while playing basketball. This hurts really bad for a bit but it's really quick to recover (in my case). Hey Brian is their anything these players can do to prevent these injuries? Most of them seem to be bad luck linked to contact with other players and unexpected landing of the foot. I've had issues with ankle sprains myself but I tend to think no matter how much you strengthen the muscles in calf/knee/hip, it's still too much force to battle against once the ankle is exposed.
