I grew up in inner city LA during the same time period as Momba and competed against him since childhood as an athlete. I understand how life after athletics can mentally affect you if you don’t have another fulfilling path especially with the culture in LA . Luckily, I didn’t have his level of talent because the ego hit can be crazy. After my college track career, I was blessed to focus on my major, and now I'm in grad school. For many people, it's hard to reshape their identity after they’ve been "DAT guy" for their whole life. I can’t imagine that level of mental stress being pulled in all directions. I'm praying for him.

I personally don’t see much of a problem here. Could he be more… articulate? More scripted and polished with his approach? Sure, but that’s what everyone else is doing. He’s got capitol, he wants to do his own thing and he has a name and a following. He realizes he’s got the rest of his life ahead of him and he needs to grind if he wants to keep earning and he’s doing that in his way on his terms by helping people that otherwise wouldn’t get help from a bank or maybe doesn’t have the networking ability to gain investors. As long as he’s doing right by people and his cut is plain and clear in the agreement what’s there to complain about? Unusual? Maybe but I admire him for blazing his own path and utilizing the tools and resources and connections he has. I wish him the best.

BLACK MAMBA! Honestly that 3rd year drop off of his shouldn't surprise anyone, it's the same thing that happened to Kayvon Thibodeaux on the defensive side of the ball. Black Mamba is now a moneylender. Didn't see that shit comin' lol

By year two coach's have your number. You can double team power but if you don't have speed to match it is one of the hardest things to stop. It was a whole different scheme his third year, less play action. Helfrich with a .667 conference winning % replaced Kelly with a .917 conf win %.

Yeah, think of Darren Sproles. I mean they weren't thinking of qb's CBS WRs or HBs under 5"10 and often overdrafted people just because they were tall. Sproles was part of that movement later in his career, but I think Russel Wilson oddly enough is where things were really rethought. Not sure if you can read draft grades from back then but the draft guide magazines, I still have, they just wouldn't even consider them. PR\KR consideration at most. But hell even Barry Sanders was 5'8" do it was frustrating those guys weren't given chances.

I know this may be hard to understand if you haven’t seen it but size is a HUGE factor in the pros. I was blessed enough to have played football on all 3 levels and it really does matter in the pros. Tyreek is 5’10” 190+ that’s still a muscular build and it’s not all that small. 5’7-5’8” is TINY. Everyone in the pros is fast af so when you’re small if you’re not just out running everyone then it’s going to be difficult to stick around. They can find someone bigger who can produce the same or better.
