Tonight, people want to drink. Myself included, gonna chill tho, good to wake-up with no hangover and loads of positive growth

Have any of you guys experienced bad brain fog, forgetfulness and just outright feeling dumb when not having a drink?

anxiety is part of it... but there are a lot of things at play... it took me a year to feel back to normal.

Hi, Mars Antos! I'm Timber, and I'm an alcoholic with 2 1/2 years sober and grateful! I felt like that when I first quit - feeling awkward and not knowing what to do with myself. I think that is normal in early sobriety. For me, that meant I had to get busy. I re-found books and movies I love, I went for walks and enjoyed the weather and fresh air, I picked up drawing again, and I became my own best cook. I stayed firmly away from ANY and ALL triggers - for me, that meant losing some friends, avoiding soda because it was my chaser, and not listening to party music. I admit that there were times when I just got so into the rough of it with cravings that I sat in my driveway and counted rocks until it passed. And they did pass. Even now I get cravings sometimes, and I automatically go into busy-mode. They call alcoholism a beast. I beg to differ. I AM THE BEAST, because I'm stronger than alcohol. You can be the beast, too.

@@timberwolf5631 I like the counting rocks part and being the beast. 👍
