Nah, Dragonflight is worse than Battle For Azeroth and Shaowlands. Raid content is easier than ever, PvP is the worse it's ever been and the story direction Dragonflight is taking is some of the worst crap I've seen but not as bad Shadowlands. Party sync is also broken and makes it impossible to play with friends new to the game, Professions are useless, I just put in an Order in and got my crafted gear. The word events are just last second tacked on useless things that like the Dreamsurge content and the Time Rifts.

Only point I truly disagree with is that transmogs in the "WoW 2" should only be available to those who earned it while it's current. The type of people (including myself) that play WoW are people who come and go during different patches or life circumstances and even to this day there is plenty in the modern client of WoW that isn't available anymore that use to be. And it's truly irritating to know there's all these things that are cool, but I'll never have a way to obtain those said things. Other than that, great video. And at the end, looks like your request for all armor type wearers can collect any type of armor type for transmog, as it's happening for TWW. 🙏

Finishing the video, your hot take on how transmog should work would absolutely demolish the franchise. That whole "I suffered through this game for years to get this shit so you can't have it as a newcomer" mentality would literally kill the game. There's a reason even BDO is putting all their effort into designing catch-up mechanics and Invalidating the soul crushing grinds people have endured all these years. Because the only thing that actually matters in an MMO is the active player count. That's it. And you will not get new players if all the shit they want is either locked out entirely or locked behind thousands of hours of misery just to get to a point where they are even remotely relevant with the meta.

My only issue with scaling is that despite being introduced in 7.3.5 there are so many initial issues with level scaling that exists that are inconsistencies between mob health/damage between npcs in expansions and then player damage is whack at lower levels and you feel super weak at higher ones until you hit max and start to gear up. like once you get to 30 it's a slow climb

Just found this channel and while I've only seen this video so far, I really like it! Perhaps the only disagreement I have with anything is on the matter of transmog. While I too would like to see the game be a bit more grounded, restricting transmogs to only full sets and only in certain conditions feels like a bit of an overstep. It'd also majorly hit the roleplaying community of the game since, without transmogs, they'd be forced to return to the old days where each roleplay character runs around with 3 of their 30 slot bags full of grey, white or green items just so their character can look the way the roleplayer wants it to. Aside from that, I agree with almost everything here. It was an enjoyable video.

People complaining about Dragonflight are delusional. It's been the best expansion in absolute years. No grinding, no crap, just come on and play the content you want. Done with the content? Move on until the next patch or do it with an alt. It's perfect. It respects your time and gives you decent content for about a month every patch. I love it. Heirlooms aren't as powerful as they used to, heck sometimes gear while leveling is _stronger_ than heirlooms especially if it gets an epic upgrade proc, and they no longer grant bonus experience just make your rest experience last longer as a set bonus. So they aren't really mandatory anymore and playing experience isn't lessened from not using them.

Wow needs to evolve. Better graphics. No more excuses about the "it's stylized" bullshit. The game looks it's age. It's improved over the years but not in any appreciable way but the developers are afraid to touch it because every time they do, the neckbeards that play the game all screech in unison and make their ears bleed. The hyper, super majority of people that play wow today are the giga nerds of yesteryear that are too invested to quit. They aren't generating much in the way of new blood into the game and as long as it remains the way it is, as new games with better cosmetic appeal and more features come out, the new generation will continue to migrate towards that. RuneScape is an enigma in that regard but is still popular for the same reason. The people who have been playing it for 15+ years are the ones still playing it.

Personally I love the idea--if WoW ever comes to it--of a "final expansion" where the champions lose. Could even go the Arkham Asylum route and when your champion finally bites the dust for good you're greeted with a cutscene of your racial leader (or, for DKs, Bolvar, or DHs, Illidan--if he's still doing things) panickedly trying to resuscitate you and then get gutted. Y'know. For angst purposes. If WoW ever has a final expansion, I want to be HEARTBROKEN. But in a good story-driven way.

I absolutely disagree with your last opinion. It would be better if they got rid of heirlooms rather than ending azeroth. All that time and money spent on the game, the friendships made( I wouldn't know, never made friends) would be like a death of some you are close too, maybe not family or a best friend but still it wouldn't feel good. And no, don't get rid of flying mounts Seriously, how does it ruin the game? And don't fuxking say it takes away from exploration because it actually adds to it, you have to have self control. Nothing forces you to fly other than your inability to control your impulse I really think the problem lies with people inability to have self control or some type dopamine hit getting a alt to max level and max gear. Instead of just taking time and level the characters naturally, nothing wrong with speed leveling to max out an alt and nothing wrong with going slow and taking your time to level like in classic. Which is what i been doing did with my dwarf paladin got to 51 without going to a single dungeon and it took me a few days. I did use heirlooms. I got more shit i wanna say but i aint trying to type a novel. But again i just want to say I think it is people's lack of control because i see people complaining about things in other games, fast travel, exploits (single player games) that can easily be avoidable like the duplication glitch in oblivion, over powered weapons that no one is forcing you to use, ect

Cool video with some very neat ideas. Not a fan of your take on Transmog though, except the voicemail bit, totally on board for being able to get all armor types on one character. The part with only being able to get transmog sets of currently relevant content falls into FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) territory and I hate that. For two reasons. One: Why should I be punished for having to work shifts and trying to earn a living while wanting to relax after I'm done? Two: We'll eventually phase out being the main audience for WoW. Imagine falling in love with it during Vanilla and wanting to get my children into it, only for them to realize some of the cool stuff isn't available anymore for them? I'm fine with time exclusive stuff like pre events but other than that there shouldn't be any restrictions. Rather reward those being able to commit more with exclusive bonuses for them to show they did the content when it was relevant.

There's many factors plaguing retail wow but one of the most important is the new player experience. New players are thrown into BFA which for a completely new player to wow which would quite weird to be called a hero already from the get go. Then there goes the wonder of the world when you're already an important part of the faction that you're in. Rather than the random night elf starting as some low level adventurer gathering plants for his teacher to cure some random NPC's poison. Mobs and quests are very easy to kill for people that are pressing their buttons. That experience alone is enough to put someone to sleep. Mobs for the most part never gain anything substantial to warrant as a threat for a player and because of that they will ignore interrupting casts or dispelling buffs/debuffs. Thus depriving them of a mechanic that is used in endgame. Very little immersion in the world. You would think after all the other MMOs that died Blizzard would learn to take the best of them like with Rift's rifts constantly trying to invade the world and if left alone succeed in destroying a quest hub. Sure some super casual Timmy is going to hate it because "why can't I quest" but i can guarantee you once players find out that something like that is happening they will try to stop it as a dynamic event. Ofcourse Gw2's dynamic events that were taken from Warhammer etc. Reasons to world pvp with raid level PVE elements to try to balance out the zerging that is usually a problem in world pvp mmos . The list goes on. In all honesty though, Retail WoW is just too old. Next year WoW is 20 years old with 19 years of content to try to give a new player. There is no real easy way to handle this because WoW in it's modern state is just too large. Even adding all these new player experiences wont help it because of the fact that WoW would still be an empty shell. Even if we had it's peak population numbers you couldn't cover all of the old content in players enough to where the world feels alive. Even thinking of trying to make ALL of the content in WoW relevant again to me seems impossible without huge bloat and pointless activities to do. As bad as an idea this sounds WoW just needs to end or move to a WoW 2 or a new idea for an MMO. Personally i've played WoW since launch and after the recent classic/WOTLK launches I have no desire to play old versions of WoW as they will never being back those old years. The community of gaming has changed from a fun one to one of pure efficiency and has ruined the magic of simple mmos like WoW.

I definitely agree with your complaints about the timewalking system. Timewalking campaigns are fantastic, but I too wish I could do them at max level just for fun. As for the timewalking dungeons/raids, I would love it if they took FFXIV's approach of having ALL dungeons and raids from past expansions available at any given moment, with daily/weekly quests as incentives to do them. The lack of old raids especially feels bad. Only 5 (2 current, 3 timewalking) out of the whopping 50 raids in this game are available to do right now (yes, I counted). That's only 10%! Raiding is one of my favorite things to do in WoW and it sucks that there are so many I have never done, as well as so many I have done and want to do again but can't. Another thing FFXIV does that's really great that I think WoW should do as well is allowing players to level characters through old raids on Raid Finder difficulty. This would be great to add to WoW, as not only would it be another fun way to level alts, but it would also give new players a chance to get a taste of raiding early on, as opposed to how it is now where new players need to buy the newest expansion and level all the way to max to even get the chance to try raiding in any shape or form. Blizzard could even add an optional tutorial raid, similar to the tutorial dungeon in Exile's Reach, that could introduce new players to common raid mechanics like stacking and whatnot

Fantastic video, love to hear people's thoughts! Personally, I am an endgame guy only- so I just do Keys and Raid and literally nothing else. (When you said Garrosh, the first thing I thought of was the guy with the mount lmao) I started in SL, and I've played since then. I think a lot of the changes and ideas here are fucking incredible. Even though they do not affect me, in the slightest. In fact, that might be why- I'm not the only guy playing the game. Like if it were up to just purely me, and I was the only one who was playing, all characters would start at level 70. Hell, I don't even care if there's a zone in the new expansion, really. Just a main city for me to do shit in. But I do have a few ideas on some later points brought up. I could not agree more with the how the raid loot works. As somebody doing actual Mythic progression for the first time this tier, it's extremely depressing to see how many people have cycled out of the team just because there was nothing to get. Granted, if you're not enjoying raiding, obviously don't do it- but a lot of those players would probably have more fun if they just got something decent out of it. Now, the main thing I disagree with was a bit of an off point; being able to change talents and gear in a Key. I think it's bad at the actual level I play at. Keys I push are usually in the 22-24 range, so nothing huge, but I can promise you, my team would be insanely abusive of being able to change shit. Even not being very try-hard, being able to switch to single target, and swap our trinkets to beacons for just one fight would be insanely broken. It might actually trivialize the middle Key experience. Especially because, to some extent, this is done already. You can zone out of the dungeon and change things, and then return. The problem with that is thing like a Tyr Brackenhide, for example. This is just my opinion, but the fact that I'm nearly forces to hearth out and either switch to Frost (I play Mage) or swap my Trinket to a Beacon is the problem. Not that I can't in the dungeon. Being able to change those things in the dungeon would mean I'm actually kind of just trolling if I don't, especially in non-score Keys. It wouldn't be fun, it would be annoying- and with the current state of Keys, completely trivialize a HUGE amount of pulls. Vengeance Demon Hunter already has this problem, and I've complained about it multiple times; you can swap your weapon during a key. Anyone can, and overall, I think that's good. Just in case it breaks or whatever. But specifically for VDH and a couple other specs, you're literally changing your weapon based on pulls- going from, for example, double UR fist weapons -> UR weapon in off hand with statted main hand, or double non-proc weapons. That sort of shit. It's needless complexity that's too easy to ignore doing. Plus, at a really high level, you'd end up changing gems out based on what you're about to fight. That sounds ludicrous, but I know multiple people who do it per dungeon. Okay, hopefully that rant at least made some sense. Also yeah who the fuck is Sarkareth? Like I know it's the last boss of the raid, but I literally know nothing about him. Granted I don't follow the story, but I at least knew who Sylvanas was, and they said his name enough that I knew Jailer would be the last boss of Shadowlands.

For Pvp the problem is obviously players wanting to play but also the inflation issues and MMR gain. For example since solo shuffle is the most popular for pvp at the moment. If you're in a higher MMR bracket and you play into a lower MMR bracket. You can go 4-2 and earn literally 0 MMR, and cr I believe also if you lose. It's an even worse penalty. Plus the incentive to play in PVP is very minimal. I believe a more rewarding experience would be a good start for incentives. Like every crate from wins give like 2-5 honor medals for cosmetic purposes and etc. I think something that will create a large influx of new and old pvp players. Will bring it back to speed where people would feel better about pvp. Like even the top of the leaderboard type of pvpers are having a hard time even getting gladiator, and they've been awc champions, and even r1s at some point. And personally I still believe the pvp system for rated content is too old. It needs to be updated. I think they'd benefit greatly from a ranking system like overwatch or something. You do placement matches get set into your current stat range, and grind up to where you'd want your personal goal to be. But add incentive for players to push their rating but also for players to obviously play more. So like I said to a couple of friends they should use a tabard and back piece that glows and a title that changes on your specific rank, and keep those as milestones till the next season. Like if you reach Platinum rank. It shines a bright blue on your back and the tabard as the color scheme and a crest symbol on it, and the title says platinum I, II, III for like transmogging purposes or something. (Also this is just my side of view, and utilizing other opinions and information. From content creators I've seen and listened to. I definitely know I missed somethings but this just a quick burner idea that has been a recent discussion.) Also I think I wouldn't mind trying a new wow. I also think wow should become free to play, and have a subscription option to have increased percentages to like gold gain, rested exp boost, new expansion accessibility (maybe). Or have it where they spend the money for the expansion, and get to play the expansion without the subscription. Edit: Tough take but I also think they should just release multiple servers of previous expansion, and utilize the subscription fee to play said expansion. You'll pay the $15 to play cata classic or something. It comes with the sub. But you don't get the boosts from retail. I could understand the confliction with fluctuating player count, and playing timewalking content on retail compared to going back and playing the server of said expansion. So I can understand why that wouldn't be the best idea. But personally. I'd pay $15 to play cata classic, and MoP classic in a heart beat. Compared to retail content lmao, and I love retail. I just love those 2 expansions a lot. Lmao. But that's just ms thought.

On Heirlooms for me they are just something to ease the leveling after having went through it already. As for the transmog idea. I'm afraid I must vehemently disagree. As someone who likes fashion I don't think anyone should be locked out of getting a piece of gear because they didn't do the content at the time it was relevant. In all honesty the game to me is too bloated. I have a mindset where too much makes everything feel meaningless. Everyone has cool looking mount's renders mounts meaningless to me. My mate was bragging about having a cool mount one time and to me it looked like every other cool mount. The mechanic's in the game are over the top and saturated making fights feel fake. Like Ill be using my full rotation on someone seeing big numbers up the top of my screen but the guy's health is still at max hp. My DPS meter will show me that I am by far out pumping him in damage, but his health is like 90%, 100%, 90%, 100%, 90%, 100% and im using like 7 abilities in my rotation... cosmetics ruin the game to. I don't like this whole "dressing up" thing in the game where everyone even someone in shitty greens looks like an endgame raid boss because everyone is dressing up ruins the whole vibe in the game. I enjoy walking into the city and being like "Yep that guy is in gear from that raid" and "yep that guy got those shoulders for being 2200+ rating etc. The levelling in retail is too fast and your gear is thrown at you left-right and center rendering any gear upgrade meaningless.

When it comes to scaling I think that it's better to make it up to the max lvl so that every zone would be challenging and not just dead. Like, it doesn't matter at what level you do the quest cause it'll always be relevant when it comes to the rewards. However, it doesn't mean that you won't be able to easily kill mobs, cause they could just make the weak mobs have less hp. And don't forget that when your ilvl gets bigger you do more dmg In general. Right now in DF you can easily kill mobs that were introduced in the beginning of the patch, even tho they're still lvl 70. In conclusion, make it so the game zones always scale and just give mobs less hp so that you'll be able to still kill them easily but not oneshot

If they toned down the healing and the procs and the class BLOAT, they can make mechanics less complex and easier which in turn makes it harder. More actual input for heals, less procs, less heals literally shitting out every pore of the body. Its lame, you think ICC was hard because the mechanics? Hell no its hard because of the raw numbers and input needed to clear it.

i would say a wow 2 but like 50 - 100 years later not 1000 years but yeah the last villain should win and take over or the horde and alliance just fall apart and maybe even come together finally in wow 2 so there can be just 1 faction (because that's face it the game is more or less 1 faction anyway with cross faction play) or heck add a new faction

I think it would be cool if timewalking worked like season of mastery. So you can choose (if you'd like) to play in a old expac but still with new changes. Maybe introduce some new content here and there, improve old systems that didn't work. As for the early game I think you should be able to choose how you'd like to level, fast or experience based levling. Fast could be a more regular levling like today but with improved timewalking systems like maybe some small raid fights inbetween etc. While experience based levling could be a more slower paced levling with intergrated old systems, bringing back old proffessions, completing zones more like classic etc. Then there should be more focus to the rp elements of the game like bringing back trainers, adding rp features and so on. For QoL changes I think one important one should be account wide rep and currencies. Maybe not for the META expansion but for the legacy once atleast so you don't feel like you've lost anything when you create a new character, or maybe you could choose if you'd like to start fresh or keep old progression for replayes and more. The main reason why I would like to see these changes is because I feel like there is a bit of too much focus on the end game which makes the game feel linear and boring sometimes. I'm here to have fun in a game, not work. So all the missed oppurtunities with the old expansions I think it is time to make the game a MMO RPG again. And as for myself who hasn't experience the past warcraft expansions back in the days I'd really like to experience them with the modern elements that exists today.

The primalists are pretty cool honestly, and they have a history with the dragon aspects. Raszageth was more of just an intro. Fyrakk is unhinged, going to be interesting to see how we take him down. Vyranoth and her relationship (or past relationship) with Alexstrasza could also be REALLY cool if done right. Iridikron is the clear big bad now and it only got more interesting with his ties to the Void.

I'd argue that even in Vanilla the professions weren't integrally part of the levelling. It's useful back then, of course, but it was never part of the experience of levelling, which i always thought was a tragedy

wow 2 is never gonna happen and it's a good thing, it would be an absolute waste of time and resources, it would have 0 content compared to retail, you would play it for a week or two and then quit

As a PvPer there are all kinds of issues. One misconception, which you also did you in your video, is PvP is designed around eSports. In fact it's not, arena and the way PvP is currently designed is actually terrible for esports which is why the eSports have never really done well minus the early years of arena. It's hard to get orgs and sponsors involved at all in WoW esports. Now, is the game to heavily focused on arena? It sure is. We have had 1 new BG in the last 10 years, and battlegrounds are the primary casual PvP content. The rewards also heavily lean towards high ratings in arena, and what is insane is like less than 15% of players that engage in rated PvP ever see the seasonal rewards. In some seasons it's around 10%. So there isn't even really anything to should for in rated OR casual PvP. I could write 17 paragraphs on the issues of PvP lol.

I get what you mean but I dislike your take on transmog, I find it one of the most important parts of the game for me. The fact that I can deck out my character in gear that looks cool and makes me feel cool when playing is one of the best features of retail. Sure in classic it's fun to run around in mismatch pieces of gear but I do want to have my matching set for each of my characters which represent what I see them as when I play them

This game has run it's course. It's just boring now. They design the game for the handful of gatekeepers and neurotic collectors, you can tell because of the backlash you will get for videos that suggest changes. The gatekeepers don't want new players in and the new players don't want their bubble popped of zoning out in the world and admiring their anime character all day, they'd rather the game just died I think. If you don't want new players then you want the game to die, plain and simple.

can we please just stop this "wow 2.0" delusion? We are already playing wow 5.0 ffs. Just accept it. If you make a new game and reset everything THE GAME DIES. Simple as that. Grow up.

It needs to do exactly the oposite of what it was doing to keep its current playerbase playing. Blizzard has clients leave and then to fix that issue they ask people who stay for feedback.... Less accesibility. Long leveling(6months to a year for average casual)Remove conveniences like lfr and lfg in favor of guilds. Make the game normal aka muscly men and sexy females.make the story about honor, bravery and adversity. Move art away from woke twitter fanfic shit. Show gore, skulls on spikes and human skin tents...

All in all a ton of terrible ideas. Looms should be removed, why should an more eastablished and experienced player have it easier? Wow is wow2, what makes you think another version would in any way improve things? If anything it would be even more blatantly pay to win probably with the best gear only avalible for real money ( why create a sleight of hand partnership with boosters when you can just offer the result without a middleman?) Also if a game loosing 90% of its players isnt dead i dont know what does dead mean to you? As long as there are 10 people playing and cross realm brings them together so it seems there are people in the world which is by the way increasingly harder to do. Increasingly harder to fake a healthy population... Spell culling was a good thing and there should be about 10active and 10 situational and passive abilities... Pvp will suck anyway because blizzard doesnt understand survivorshio bias. (Its why they ask remaining players on feedback on the game instead those who quit)
