5:05 In Japan, as you mentioned, most outlets don't have earth connectors. However, outlets in areas such as washrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens that require GFCI protection against electrocution, as well as those for air conditioners, do have earth connectors. In Japan, they have ground. Most sockets do not have ground, but those who are made for specific equipment has a ground below the socket. They usually split towards the end of the cable, with only a few cm max distance between the two. @ElectroBOOM

100v outlets in Japan have a separate ground connector which is secured using a screw. 200v outlets (used by high power appliances like aircon, oven)have a fixed 3rd ground pin just like these you have in north America. The outlet in video is a specific outlet made by Panasonic which is used for connecting chargers in public utilities, so this make sense why there's no ground.

I was watching your video, Drowning in inefficiency, and was wondering if you could do a video going over some of the research into efficient energy transfer, ie any studies that cover potential ways to improve efficiency or new energy sources that are more efficient, etc. If the information and studies are available. Love the videos and keep up the good work you do.
