Niyamai. A system is a reflection of who we are, because we as humans created the system to help ourselves and our neighbors, and over the decades generations of people improved the system to benefit all citizens. In sri lanka, the rich and elite buy their way, so nobody was there to consider a system that benefits all, even if there was such system it was a broken dysfunctional system to serve the low class poor people. Like the general hospital in Colombo for example, only the poor people use it, the rich goto private elite institutions, same with schools. The rich don't need old age pension or unemployment benefits programs, so such things never developed on SL. It comes down to lack of respect, for each other, in sri lanka only thing matter is one's social class, that's why so much attention on fake elitism in SL, always want to boast about something. Pukka Kalu suddo did more harm to sri lanka than real suddos in 500 year colonization. Anyways it's a long road ahead , it's the mindset that need change, and that's done by decades of critical reading and education, so a new generation will learn to respect each other and themselves, and then the system will reflect that.

Thank you so much for your valuable thoughts brother ❤️❤️❤️🙏 keep in touch 👍🏻
Valuable information. Thank you. I’m 68 and I remember my father telling that in very early years criminals from England were dumped in Australia!😮 What I realize now is what a cultured nation it is ! I’ve been persuading my son in Australia to go for a health insurance but now wonder if it’s really necessary . I’m just after a visit to Adelaide . Nice and 16:33 quiet . Was happy to realize my son there has well assimilated . Thank you .

Agree 100% with you, and well said! Most of our migrants have no idea about these volunteer organizations because they're so busy working 24/7 to earn greedily, educating their kids, and constantly competing with other Sri Lankans. It's a cycle that keeps them from experiencing the fulfillment that comes from giving back to the community. If only more people knew about the personal satisfaction that comes with helping others without expecting anything in return!
