Thanks Russel that was very informative. It’s always good to see what other photographers are using.

Blimey - horrified at all that kit!! Of course your photography makes it all well worth it, it's just that I'm not in the same league of fitness, so have to travel MUCH lighter! 😊👍

I'm not that fit either which is currently preventing me from going higher than about 2000ft with the LF gear, however I do like those smaller tops as you get fresh perspectives on the landscape.

Great video Russell , I must admit I never take a first aid kit out . Keep up the good work Gem 👍🏻

Thanks. What I didn't show was a paper map and compass, which is even more important if you've ever experienced your only electronic navigation aid failing on you in the middle of nowhere in thick fog. First aid kit isn't much use in that situation :)

This was such a good video, Russel! Thank you very much. If it's not asking too much, could you go around how you pack all this with camping gear for a few days? Also how long do you use to stay in the field. That's something I've been wondering just bc food and water go pretty fast when in the field. Any tips for camping longer while taking similar amounts of gear?

Hi. I adopt the same packing approach but use a much bigger backpack - usually a 70lt. I only do single night trips because anything longer requires a lot more food and it's physically too demanding.

@0:38 the case for your Chamonix 4x5 - did that come with the camera or where did you get it?

I love "what's in my bag" style videos I have to say.. always looking for little ideas that might make a difference to set up or things I might not think about. Have weighed it as a whole pakacge to see how much?
