Ever wonder what tools an Arborist who specializes in tree healthcare might carry to help them diagnose your sick tree? Are you an Arborist wondering what tools you might want to help you diagnose the toughest tree issues out there?
I unpack my diagnostic bag and briefly show each of the tools I use on a regular basis as an Arborist who's usually called when a tree is in decline and the answers as to why are just not being found. It's a real specialty for sure and these tools are the ones I've found to work and be reliable when used properly and in an integrated, systemized process.
The links to SOME of what you see in the video are below (I can't fit all of them here. BUT, if I had to pick only one tool in here, well I couldn't choose, but if I'm going to try it is a MOISTURE METER. If you're a homeowner with a lawn, if you deal with soil, trees, shrubs, grass, irrigation, water conservation or anything touching soil should have one to two moisture meters on hand.

Hand pruners: (These are my all time favorite pruners by far but not shown in video. Very good for pruning branches, plants and gardening etc...but too nice to use for pruning roots that are dirty. For root pruning use any sharp and sterilized hand pruners you don't mind ruining.)
