My solution to raised rivets is a bit of elbow grease and some sanding pads. Job jobbed, as they say. I have a few of these in the stash, some original black plastic issues and some more recent releases which are all in grey. It can still be made into a decent rendition of a Hampden, even if there are is now a more modern alternative (the Valom/AZ kit). From memory, I think the framing on the clear parts is a bit vague, which makes painting the framing a little bit awkward. I first built one of these not long after it was first released. The original decals had a nice "Popeye" cartoon character on the nose. The latest decal sheet includes a cartoon image of Walt Disney's "Pinnochio".

I have this kit as part of Airfix's 'Victoria Cross Icons', together with Hurricane Mk.I, Fairey Battle Mk.I and Bristol Blenheim Mk.IV. The Hampden mould is from 1968. It builds as well as any kit from 50+ years ago and if you use Humbrol paints, much of the raised rivets soon disappear!
