How does the software called you have on the last pen drive to break in Windows or macOS
@j.macjordan9779
6 жыл бұрын
That's a lot of lock picks for physical pentesting; if you had to stop to shuffle through your bag, find your picks set, lay it out, select any tension wrench and any pick....it's already taken too long. A painters knife or a flat head screw driver is usually sufficient with how most doors are installed - it won't damage the door... Or popping hinges - it's a simple tool, and more people than you might think install hinges facing the wrong direction. And the U.S., common smaller locks are usually keyed to a very limited number of keys - you should just carry 3-4 of the most common keys and you can gain access to virtually any generic lock. Just search "key" on Amazon; they'll be on the first couple pages. But you can't walk up to a lock and work on it like a locksmith would. Just carry a couple tension wrenches, a rake, and the individual pin lifter. Hell, I'd just say tension wrenches and a rake - if it takes more than 30s to rake a lock, you could try lifting pin by pin, but how fast are you at lifting pins one by one....? I'd just move on. But if you absolutely need in one door, the rake is by far the best. Or hell, never underestimate sidling a secure door - dress appropriately and speak with confidence; most of the time, the door will be held open for you. On the rare occasion someone at an office building that's nonetheless secure questions whether you belong - you just sell it like you do belong. My wife used to work in an office building that was also the Federal Home State Office for one of our House Reps in Congress - they were not in session, so he was in the State and in his office. I was picking my wife up to go to dinner, and I was approaching a secure door on the backside of the building; one of the staff members opened it to leave, so I picked up the pace and he held the door. However, he stopped me and said "I'm sorry, this is a secure building...do you have identification I could see...?" I looked at him annoyed/surprised, and said "I'm sorry...what did you say?" "Yeah, I can't just let anyone in; it's a secure building..." So, I said "are you joking?! Do you know who I am? I own this building and you need my ID?!" The dude completely caved, apologizing to me and holding the door - I told him I was just fucking with him and I was meeting someone inside after I already had walked inside. We both laughed, me much harder, especially after he let me in the building with no information who I was, nor going back to asking for an ID. I can keep a convincing lie together for a minute or so when it's that extreme, but I was a complete dick to him and needed to shut it down, but whatever tension there was, diffusing it was enough for me to be ok passed the door. The time for him to reopen the door, I could've disappeared, heading right up to chat with a Congressman staying late and by himself on his floor.

Never underestimate the power of a professional social engineer! Personally I'm not great at that part but you usually don't need to be great- and I'm still learning! I carry the full set because it's well-organized enough that I don't need to dig around for a tension wrench. That said, I'm still not a great locksmith. I just know enough to pick some basic locks to be well-rounded.

My advice is to pick a single profession. You're young, so experiment now and find something you like. Maybe it'll change later, maybe not. "Coding" is a huge field that covers a wide range. "Security" is also a huge field that covers a lot of things. "IT/Engineering" is an absolutely massive field that covers literally everything to do with anything technical. You need to be more specific, because nobody wants to hire a "jack of all trades". If you like the thought of pentesting, I recommend learning C, C++, Python, and some Ruby. I also recommend learning Linux and picking up the following books: Python Crash Course by Eric Matthes Silence on the Wire by Michal Zalewski The Linux Command Line by William E. Shotts Jr. Hacking: The Art of Exploitation by Jon Erickson Black Hat Python by Justin Seitz A Bug Hunter's Diary by Tobias Klein Designing BSD Rootkits by Joseph Kong And the following KZitem channels: DEFCONConference Computerphile The Modern Rogue

Depends on the engagement. I compartmentalise, a lesson learned after a few visits to the chiropractor, carrying all your shit about is a swift way to a busted back/shoulder. I have a "hardware" hacking kit in a separate canvas pencil case/bag. Includes a shikra, few usb to serial dongles, some Dupont cables, soldering iron and solder, hook up wire (incredibly thin wire but insulated), magnet wire (even thinner but enamelled), sandpaper, salae clone logic analyser and a multimeter amongst other scraps. But do I bring it on a normal engagement? Nah not normally. Same with my physical security kit.

installing a new OS shouldn't screw up anything on the motherboard itself. OSes don't touch BIOS. You should just be able to install and go.

I see a lot of hate in the comments, and a lot of cringe-worthy moments in the actual video itself, but then again, there will always be a better hacker out there and sure, @Egg82 made some mistakes, but admitted that he isn't "the perfect hacker", I mean, what more can you ask for? Kudos for taking out the time to show us what's in YOUR pentest kitbag. (Personally, I would change the title to "What's inside MY hacker-backpack." but otherwise, very informative video. Don't let the haters get to you, live and learn. PS: If you had a look at the older Defcon5 videos on KZitem, you'll cringe just as hard, but keep in mind those guys are mostly absolute nuts when it comes to pentesting and everything associated with "hacking". Click the fwd button if you disagree with someone's content and move on, or go make your own video and upload it if you have the balls to be blasted by the entire planet for trying to educate or entertain someone out there. Once again, thank you. Appreciate it, and I have a couple of similar items in my kit, which includes multiple storage devices, network devices, tools, cabling, and software (including Kon-boot and various tools found in the Hirens distros, misc Linux live discs, and defo some earphones - which I personally believe is a must-have in any hack-pack.) I even carry a roll of ductape, zipties and insulation tape with me too. Nobody's kit will be identical, it really comes down to where you are, what the people you test usually behave like and the types of locks and blocks you encounter day to day.

Best vid watched all day, maybe all year. We all need tools doing what we do protecting everything now. Quite a great assortment and the explanations, spot on sir. I run Kali from a DVD often...solves problems well. IDK why lockpicking and hacking are so alluring at times, but the warnings need to be emphasized for some viewing this, since being stupid will get you matching bracelets and time out of the more serious kind. Some heed good advice and others suffer dire consequences when they don't listen and follow instructions. Guess there's no cure for stupid, right? Take care and do good, not evil.

Thank you, and you as well! The most important thing to remember is to stay legal. There are plenty of use-cases where this stuff is not only legal, but pays quite well. Though I suppose if there were no bad actors, there would be no job for me. It's a bit strange when you think about it.

Hey man, first things first, nice video! Did you use python or c/c++ for the k.logger (and how do you get the k.strokes back? email? if so, what's the String max value before sending an email?) Secondly, does your flash drive #1 work on Mac OS running El Capitan? Booting in win with admin rights is easy stuff but hey, mac is something else.
@egg82
7 жыл бұрын
the keylogger is actually written in C#, though a Python one would also be incredibly easy. The files and screenshots are stored directly on the USB device. No need to touch disk. When the user starts typing it'll record until a "timeout" is reached where the user stops typing for a set amount of seconds. After that a timestamp is appended and the whole thing is appended to a text log that has a date filename plus the computer name. This specific tool is meant to target Windows devices as Macs are difficult to get into without being noticed and Windows is used more commonly in corporate settings.

Learn how to program. Python is the hot thing right now for pen testers. Look online for python code for a keylogger. Besides that he just modified the code and added the function for it save screenshots every 10 seconds. Lots of antiviruses look for hashes of known malware. Google how hashes work if you want to learn more about it. But him adding that extra code to the existing code will change the hash of the program. Antiviruses can also look for behavioral stuff so if you were to say have your program do something like take screenshots every 10 seconds, that could trip off something like HBSS and cause it to delete your custom code off of your USB stick.

I Am EZ honestly it doesnt have to be the fancy malwarw you hear about in the news, all you'd need, in theory because that makes it legal, just a basic backdoor. The best id say is a reverse tcp backdoor payload in metasploit.
@marionascimento450
6 жыл бұрын
In most business scenarios the firewall in place won't let outbound tcp connections. You'll have to use http/https. It will still probably not work since most companies have trusted application security in which you'll have to inject your shellcode into a reflective dll. It will take some time ans is quite elaborate (usually takes me about 8 to 10 hours to inject and obfuscate my payload into a reflective dll with polymorphic code. I'll give you a pro tip: If you can't get it to work, the error is probably on the IAT
@egg82
6 жыл бұрын
Generally I plug it in and run it and it works. You'd be surprised at how many companies just allow the most random things. I have yet to pentest a company that didn't allow whatever random outbound connection to work, but I'm sure when I do I'll be earning that paycheck.
