The opensource makes it so worth while. So many companies advertise their product but you have to buy a licence or have internet connectivity to commission the thing. I would love to see you guys do this more. Test all ev chargers and let the people know what is needed to commission. Love the videos

Locks and cable entries on top is a real weak point for water ingress IMO?

ITS NOT A CHARGER ITS A CHARGE POINT, AN EVSE ELECTRIC VEHICLE SUPPORT EQUIPMENT, THE "CHARGER" IS WITHIN THE CAR 👍

Replaced a twin 22kw 3phase one today, it was the size of a petrol pump,but still didn’t stop an old lady reversing into it & knocking it over!

Don’t all 3 phase chargers need barrier protection as per regs?

Worth mentioning ctek do management kit as well, necessary when your max charge group load exceeds max load available in site, bit of a faff to set up but it works well. There's a newer firmware available by the way.. 😁

Great video.. I can see as a commercial unit the ease of install in this, but agree the top entry is dangerous. The software locking pin I find strange.. what I assume is a competing unit to this the Dual Schneider EVLink unit just lets you clamp a cable on top, which has the added advantage it can be in unplugged if faulty or someone with a different car (Type 1 v Type 2) wants to use their own cable.

Electronical RCD. I wonder if the Swedish Elsäkerhetsverket has any opinions on that?

Entry point looks tight. A nice cold stiff swa should be fun! Putting any entry point on the top of a unit is a no-no. Very disappointing.

Clever stuff, I do like it but I think there’s a bit to much going on in side it for me so I will just stick to the nice and simple house bashing and leave the EV stuff to those that have the grey cells to deal with it ,😂just my own opinion but who am I? I am just a humble spark who’s opinion means nothing 🤣. Fantastic video guy’s as always 👍👍👍👍❤️

If installing as part of a TT installation with multiple units fed from one feeder pillar, what type RCD would the manufacturer recommend to use at source if they make any recommendation at all?
@efixx

Type A should suffice with a time delay. (S)

@@efixx what’s the situation if say for example 5 chargers are protected by that type A RCD each charger has 6mA DC protection built - in theory each charger could pass approx 5mA each, totalling 25mA seen by that type A at source which is over the 6mA rating of type A RCD’s - your thoughts on this situation would be helpful

7:36 "Compact unit. There's a lot going on in there". Blimey that is an understatement. Too much to my mind with a twin charger unit. It would probably be OK with single charger.

does not seem to be charging anything, looks pretty much just like adapter from cable to type2 plug and some bullshit around it.
