Wow. Well now I've heard of everything. It finally makes sense for right handers to play lap style.

Thank you so much for this video. I've really been considering going lap style, because I find I'm not playing as often due to the strain. I'm a small person with tiny, T-Rex arms, and it's hard for me to play upright. See this demo is really helping me move in this direction.

I really loved this video. I loved your rambling. I'm hoping to order a d'Aigle beginner's package in July and come pick it up this fall. Now I don't know if I should order an Upright or a Lap style. Or maybe just plan on buying to. Decisions decisions.

I get how muscle memory would help, but I have a little trouble wrapping my brain around the movement of the string hand with the width of the harp being narrow at the 'elbow' end if you will.... Seems a bit restrictive, but could just be a perception.

I am left handed and playing lap style on a right autoharp because you were pretty enthused on a different video. I am just not sure how to angle it. So, I push the right side out and pull the left side inward and am comfortable but unsure if doing this right. Am I angling it correctly? Am I getting the best sound out of it with that angle? I don't know.

I push the buttons further out on my knee or towards my knee at least, and then draw the tuning pins in towards the other hip. That takes the angles out of my wrists.
