I am interested on the Korea made aspects of the Clambers. On my gen 1 Clamber it says "Korean Engineered" behind the drag star. It also says Weihai iFishband Tackle Co. Weihai is where very large percentage of all fishing gear and tackle is made in the world. Does the v2 have this? The v2 clamber may be different but I don't think these are made in Korea. I would like to see them be built and designed in places outside of China but most things in fishing world are from China.

Hey rocky! Hm… that’s super interesting and I’ll have to take a closer look when I do the teardown video. I do believe the c1 and c2 were/are made in Korea as they do have Korea stamped on the bottom of the reel foot but maybe some components are coming from China? I’m not quite certain and don’t think I can answer this as I don’t know where ifishband sources its parts. Also, I had no idea ifishband is part of weihai? Maybe they were acting in a partnership to design and manufacture the reel? Hm… I will have to see if I can find out haha and I will look into the drag star stamp as well. Thanks for bringing this up very cool information! Cheers my friend!

Excellent video, as usual. Your reel analysis and teardown videos are second to none. I have a question and a reminder. The reminder is that the all metal, 11+1 bearing, round, bronze colored Kawa 50 or 51 reel which is a very good looking, seemingly well built reel with casting capabilities down to 2 grams is still available for under $50 shipped. To me, and perhaps some others, it cries out for a review, even if your finding is that it is junk. The question is: would you consider evaluating the brand New Haibo Arise 175 gram Pro+? Yes, it is not strictly BFS oriented but it is capable of casting sub 2 gram lures and has a revised braking system relative to the Arise Air that you have tested. The Arise reels that I own (4 of them) are the highest quality Chinese-built reels I own and the technology has the potential to move both general purpose and BFS casting up a notch or two.
@BFSFISHINGCHANNEL
11 ай бұрын
Hey Jay! Much appreciated my friend! I do have the kawa still in the box and need to find a bit more time to get to it. Currently, trying to edit the clamber 2 casting video and then film the teardown for that but I will find time I swear! As far as the arise pro reels I’m not sure… the reason is is that the braking system is going to be very similar across the board and the biggest downside I see to it is the need to remove the side plate whenever changing lure weights. This I think is my biggest gripe with the arise air and would likely be the same for all of the arise reels. That being said, I do agree that the build quality is really quite impressive as is the casting performance. If you are ok with going through the motions to adjust the inductor settings then I think it’s hard to go wrong with the Haibo arise reels. I have my eyes on a few reels coming up for the future that I cant say yet, with one that is potentially game changing, and so I’m not sure I’ll have the bandwidth to get to so many reels. In addition, my kid is getting bigger and requires more and more maintenance as well 😆. Anywho, I’m sorry to disappoint on the arise reels but I will defer to your assessment and second that the build quality is quite good. Cheers my friend!

Hey perchie! Long time no talk haha 😅. I do agree that the Chinese and the Koreans really have made massive improvements in quality and performance with their bfs products. Hey will! Thank you so much for the kind words and support! As the bearking is so similar to the Acura and DWU and pretty much every other DWU variant it’s highly likely I won’t. Also, it seems like Soloking is slowly phasing out the long spool shaft version of the Acura in favor of a slightly updated design that should be out soon? From what I’ve heard of the bkz it should be a solid performer and very smooth as it has the potential to have up to 12 bbs if you replace the handle with one that comes with bearings. @@BFSFISHINGCHANNEL To me - friction and its adjustment works well...especially after tender shoot where i have to improved this part with cutting the spring under the ball and the lubrication of the plastic ring. One moment - in my spool there is the rubber ring behind the bearing..do you have it? I don't see this in the video..Yes Soloking Acura. One day I thought it would be cool to get an Acura or its equivalent with a metal body and here it is- a clamber 2. And my tests showed that they are very close to casting. Clamber is better after 2.2 gr weight. For a weight in the region of 2gr I would still choose Kastking's birds.

@@MrAntinsk8 hey Antin! Yep there is an oring behind the spool bearing on my spool as well!
