Nice video again Andrea. In Nautilus, once youve gone to you 'my comoputer section, click the 3 dots at the end of the search bar nad choose add to favorites, at least that will this location to your favs on the left menu, but as we know in gnome 43 it was always under other locations, but that seems to have been removed now

Yes in Gnome 43 the My Computer folder was under Other Locations but as you say they have removed that in Gnome 46. Why they have done that I don't know. I think that is a bad idea as we should be able to view our computer folder. I never saw any option to add it to favorites. They have that in Nemo and also in other file managers. Nautilus just doesn't have the features that I want. Which is why I always use either Nemo or Caja on Gnome. I think both are much better file managers.

@@cjuk81 I took another look at Nautilus and tried what you suggested. Yes the bookmark feature is still there so I was able to add the computer folder to bookmarks. After I did that it did show up in Nautilus. I found that when I did this in Caja it also showed up in Nautilus. Nemo and Caja both have the add to bookmarks features. So when you add any folder to bookmarks it also shows in Nautilus. I didn't know that Nautilus had a bookmarks feature but it does. So it seems that the settings in Nautilus are still there but disabled by default. I couldn't see any way to enable it to show computer in Dconf Editor. You have to do it through bookmarks by adding the folder. There is also a setting to do this in Gnome Control Center under Folder Search Settings. So it is there but Gnome have hidden the settings so it's difficult to find. When I am on Gnome I use Nemo or Caja so I don't deal with Nautilus very much. Using Nemo or Caja is an alternative if you don't like Nautilus so long as you don't uninstall Nautilus. I have made other videos on how to use Nemo and Caja as the default file manager in Gnome. Both file managers will run alongside Nautilus but if you set either Nemo or Caja as default your Home folder and files will open in either Caja or Nemo. Depending on which one you choose as the default.

I don't use the remote desktop tool but I think that the Windows or other Linux PC would have to be using the same tool for it to work. Thing is it is for Gnome and other Linux desktops only so I don't think anyone on Windows would be using it.
