Department of Hawaiian Home Lands Director Kali Watson is looking to secure at least another $600 million as he looks to carry out an ambitious new strategy to expand home and rental offerings.
This comes after the department received $600 million from the Legislature in 2022 through Act 279, known as the Waitlist Reduction Act. DHHL planned to use that money to develop some 3,100 lots.
