Josh, I understand that the NRX line of rods has set the standard for what "sensitivity" is defined as, but I see you have IMX Pros on your deck, several of them, in the spinning rod category. How would you rate the IMX Pro line of spinning rods when it comes to sensitivity for applications like wacky rig, neko rig and ned rig?? IMX line is still not a "cheap" line of rods, ie above $340 for most models and there are other models out there that are less (Expride) and I am trying to determine if the IMX line of rods is a good entry point for a fisherman to get the Loomis experience that so many talk about in the higher end line (NRX)?

Josh, Regarding the 863swbr, would it handle a 1/2 OutKast head with say a 4.3-4.8 paddle tail ? Does it have the juice to drive the hook at full cast or am I better going with a 843/903 ? Thanks

that 883 BJR is a killer for qtr oz to 5/16 swimjigs...just sayin'; that rod tip keeps them pinned.

Great videos! If you had to choose only a couple of baits for spring river fishing,, which would they be???
@JoshDouglasFishing
2 жыл бұрын
Largemouth I’d say a swim jig and a beaver style bait. I’d bet that Vile Tube would wreck em! Smallies, a tube or a Ned rig. For both a flat side crankbait and a trap!

How does the 872s compare to the 852s? Which has more power, tip, more forgiving or is stiffer? -thanks!
@richardcarbon20
2 жыл бұрын
Tip and being more forgiving I'd say both of those go to the 872S more stiffer is the 852S power is about equal among them
@JoshDouglasFishing

The 872 has a faster action and more back bone. I use it first most the time but if I’m up close and personal skipping targets, I’ll opt for the shorter 852..

What makes you use ssv2 vs the regular power pro?
@JoshDouglasFishing
2 жыл бұрын
Power Pro is a 4 strand braid as SSV2 is a 8 strand braid. Much more smooth and quite coming through the guides.
