I love Traxxas cars (and trucks) they are extremely durable and can be made to run really fast plus, there is a bunch of upgrades that can be had out there and you do not even need to buy Traxxas branded (expensive) parts to upgrade them. I wish that they made more kits for their cars as I enjoy putting them together and you get to know how the car ticks if you built it. They are also very expensive.
@AddamsPlayground
Жыл бұрын
Yes!!! I wish they would offer them as kits as well!! It is sad the only one they offer as the kit is the TRX4 but I think it is for two reasons. It is cheaper over all to offer it as assembled and only have the one system for assembly, packaging and warranty handling. If they had models that were only offered in the an unassembled for it would be different but doing two for one vehicle increases the cost of business overall. I do however wish they would release a vintage line and start cranking out kits they have discontinued as I would buy quite a few of those!! I have contacted them in the past and got no response to it so I assume there is no interest in it from them. who knows but the day they re-release the Sledge Hammer I am ordering two of them!!!

I don't care what people say...I really like Traxxas vehicles. My only complaint is most of their vehicles look like toys with the chrome wheels and busy graphics. I am happy to see them updating some of their models with less toy-like finishes. I also wish they were a bit less expensive and/or had some really good sales like Horizon Hobby. The Skully arrived just in time for Halloween! You know, you could always cut out some eye-holes and wear the body as a mask. 👍

Yeah, they like to recreate things with flashy new paint schemes but people eat it up so I don't blame them. @@AddamsPlayground yeah typically traxxas we’re very expensive here but the others have caught them up whilst traxxas prices have held . I got my trx 4 cheaper than the axial Scx10 3 which considering the features and stuff you get with the trx 4 made it reasonable value . Infact even the equivalent Of say g made ( 2 speed , etc) worked out more expensive. I have no idea what’s happened to axial pricing . They seem to have abandoned their cheaper lines and the base camp is only 70 cheaper than the trx 4 bronco .who knows mate 😂🤷♂️👍 The thing I like about the trx 4 is how much fun it is . Traxxas don’t really advertise that very well but in hi gear with unlocked diffs it’s good fun . And out in the trail all the features sort of add to the driving experience. Credit to them . My concern is the more tech the more that can go wrong and traxxas bits ain’t always cheap

I think it is very easy to get into a click with a manufacturer especially when you have more than one car as you know how they work, the parts for them and the way it handles and drives. I know I stuck with Traxxas for so long as parts were interchangeable and easy to get so if I broke one thing I'd buy two replacements as I was bound to break it on another eventually! I am sure parts swapped over across the Associated stuff as well. I never got any of the Associated or Losi stuff back then as I felt they were more race cars and I was not a racer so I figured I would break them just bombing around like I did. I really wish I had as they really had some very nice kits but I was compartmentalized with the Traxxas stuff and thinking I was not worthy of a "race car".

Aside from the Monster Jam models I have had a ton of Traxxas models in my time. I am a Traxxas head all the way through. I started with a Rustler 25 years ago and actually converted it to a Bandit just for fun. Had pre-ordered everything from the XMAXX to the TRX4. My Gen 1 XMAXX was actually a 6S model and had to be converted when the upgrade came out. I remember waiting 4 months for my TRX4. Totally worth it. Things I missed that I wish I had is the long boat. I think it's an M41. And the TRX6. Big Traxxas head...LOL. Not gonna lie though... I am REALLY LOVING being a Tamiya head now. I hope to have a wall like you someday. Awesome video my bro.!!

I was a Traxxas fan boy at one time, they were not terribly expensive and parts swapped over from one to another one many of them which made them smart as parts were swappable and if you broke one thing buy two replacements as I was bound to need another one soon enough! I started buying other things and then when I got back into it hard core again I had found I was not really interested in speed and big air any more and had gravitated to the building and seeing them come to life. Also I was able to get kits I wanted as a kid and that has been really fun and rewarding surrounding my myself in memories and checking off items on that very old list! I have not had the chance to drive the 4WD ones but I know they are popular. The downfall of the stampeded is it is too top heave and wants to roll and flip too quickly. Really interesting to watch these, especially the ones with cars I haven't got much knowledge of. I don't even know for sure, but I'm guessing Traxxas is an American brand that started in the 80'ies or 90'ies, so they got quite a back catalogue, almost like Tamiya and Kyosho... I heard a lot of negative about the brand, but I still think they have a lot going, I think my favourite Traxxas is the Summit, it's really special. Thanks for taking the time to shoot these, there is a lot of knowledge there, I love hearing all those stories. Have a great rest of the weekend there, buddy!
@AddamsPlayground

Yes, Traxxas is a US based company out of Texas. They started back in the 80s and actually started out in race buggies and then a race truck and then launched their normal hobby grade line once they were getting out classed on the tracks but they had a few good years of racing. I think they get a bad name for riding the same platforms over and over for many years. I don't have anything against them, they have a large empire of RC cars, parts and upgrades for them after so many other had faded away or have struggled to stick around. The summit is probably the coolest piece of advanced technology they ever offered. for its time it was the neatest truck out there and was doing so much more than any other truck on the market. I have a bunch of them and they were the original Arrma and had super tough trucks you could just bash and beat on forever!
