I have followed Saxon since the mid 80's, and there was time in the early 90's when I thought they were going to give up. It was difficult to even find Saxon albums in the record stores. Fortunately Saxon persevered and slowly started climbing back up in the late 90's and early 2000's. Very happy to see them succeeding and making great music in 2024.

Saxon has been one of my favorite bands since the moment I started listening to Heavy Metal. I specifically remember a Show from 2011 that I still rank as one of my best Live Gigs ever. And I will always go to watch them if I can. This is what Legends look and sound like.

One of the greatest metal bands of all time! I was able to meet them after a show in Joliet. Talked with Doug and Nibbs and was able to get a picture. Truly a humble and gracious band! Long live the mighty Saxon!

Good interview. Biff is from a town close to where I live, so he sounds a lot like my dad. Whenever we travel I have to translate as no one can understand him, so well done! 😁🤟🏻

This was such an engaging episode, MP. One of your best ever. The interview-meets-documentary style was highly effective, and I’d love to see more like this in the future. Any chance that there is a similar Uriah Heep episode in the pipeline? 🙏

Saxon has always been great! They don't have the popularity that a lot of bands have, but I've been into them since 1984, and they rock! They have great songs! Crusader, The Power and the Glory,Warrior, This Town Rocks, Suzy Hold On, Princess of the Night, Etc What about that one song about the JFK assassination, Dallas 1p.m.? great songs! great band!

I've seen Saxon twice so far. Saw them at York barbican in 2022 on the carpe Diem tour and I saw them supporting priest at Leeds this year. Out of the 2 times, York was better but that's mainly due to the fact that I prefer carpe diem as an album (nothing against hell, fire & Damnation but carpe Diem is my second favourite Saxon album) and it was a tough time emotionally so an incredible concert was exactly what I needed and it's what Saxon delivered but the Leeds show was still great. Hoping that they'll come back to do a full UK tour, playing for 2 hours instead of 1 and I specifically hope they come back up here to Yorkshire as there is just something so right about Saxon in Yorkshire and all the fans chanting out "Yorkshire" at the end of every song

I've seen Saxon live many a time (only seen Judas Priest and The Stranglers more times) and they never fail to deliver. Sadly, they have always been criminally under-appreciated as one the best metal bands ever. In my humble opinion, Saxon have a far stronger back catalogue than Iron Maiden, and if there was any justice in these matters, they would be recognised as part of the highest echelon of metal alongside the likes of Maiden and Priest. I can't wait for the full interview Vlad, Biff's a metal legend and is always so humble and down to earth.

Great video. Great band. It made me wonder about whether it's relevant that they're getting maybe old - then I thought about the time Biff (and the rest of the band, as it was then) signed my Crusader LP after their show at the Colston Hall (as it was then...) in Bristol back in '84. Which made me think, damn, am *I* maybe getting old?! All of which made me realise how brilliant it's been to have had this band to age alongside for all these years. Long may it continue.

I've listened to Saxon's new album 'Hell Fire And Damnation' more than any release the past few years. This included Priest's 'Invincible Shield' and Metallica's '72 Seasons'. Funny thing is I never liked Saxon much before. They have made one of the best heavy metal albums of all times 45 years into their discography.
