yup, that was what I was about to say. It all depends on the sticker glue and paint composition, but the heat-gun (or a hair dryer) has worked well for me. over use of solvents may weaken your gel coat. I always rinse after using them.

Regarding the decal removal: WD-40, Si’s weapon of choice, or similar, bike-specific products like MO-94 work wonders. Let it sit for a couple of minutes and the oil will solve the oil-based glue of the decals. Just make sure to thoroughly clean your wheel afterwards, especially if you use rim brakes. Isopropyl alcohol works for that and removes all oil and residue

Hey Italo, Your 10 speed Campy cassette should fit any modern Campy freehub body. I recently upgraded my 10 speed Campy Daytona groupset to Chorus 12 speed and the cassette was a straight swap. The freehub is the same for 9, 10, 11, and 12 speed Campy cassettes.

So this was my experience with removing the horrific lurid decals from my Mavic Cosmic Wheels: 1. Hairdryer is perfect BUT when you peel off the decal pull firmly and fast. The first wheel I was over-cautious and all the glue stayed on the rim. Second wheel with the recommended approach I had zero glue remaining. 2. To remove glue left on the rim I tried the method In the comments using acetone. This was a complete pain consuming a lot of time and acetone. 3. As a better way to remove glue from the rim I just used my thumb to rub the glue off. This might not suit everyone I guess depending on the strength of your thumb and how tough your skin is but for me it was much more effective and time efficient than using acetone. 4. As a final touch I used some automotive black bumper treatment to bring back the colour as the wheels are a couple of years old. I am super happy with the result which has improved and updated the look of my 2016 Cervelo R5 no end. Good luck 👍

@6:47 Some retaining rings are, in effect, hollow allen bolts (mine is, at least). If this applies to you, there’s often a 10mm allen retaining ’bolt’ and an 8mm allen extractor bolt underneath it. Sizes may vary but the idea remains the same: keep the 10mm ’bolt’ fully threaded in, pass the 8mm allen key through the 10mm hole and undo the 8mm allen bolt. As the 8mm bolt unwinds, it is ’stopped’ by the 10mm allen retaining bolt/ring and further unwinding pushes the crank out.

To remove stickers and any remaining residue. Remove wheels from bicycle and let the summer sun heat each side of the wheels for a bit then peel away stickers. Any remaining residue can be removed with a clean soft rag and lighter fluid. This doesn't harm paint, plastic, or rubber. Doesn't work in the U.K....no sun.

1:57 the best numbers I've seen for derailleur gears is 98% efficiency, the best I've seen for internal gears were in the 80% range. Every other shortcoming could easily be sorted like putting the gears in the bottom bracket rather than the hub which would make wheel changes easier and quicker if anything.

The easiest way to remove the stickers from the ALUMINUM WHEEL ONLY is using a flat wooden toothpick and a hair dryer. The sticker glue is chemical and water resistant, but not heat resistant. This job is ZEN training, but it's worth it. Use a dryer on a low temperature to heat the first 3-5 cm / 1-2 inch of the stickers and gently pry an even fragment with a toothpick, it must be the entire beginning, even. Then we blow warm air from a distance of about 10cm / 3in and slowly pull the sticker upwards at a 90 degree. It can't be too warm, it can't be too fast. If there is glue on the rim, it is too hot and you need to move the dryer slightly away. If there is too much glue, it means that the sticker is torn off too quickly. The remnants of the glue can be removed with acetone or a liquid to remove the sticker from car windows - the shit that in some countries have to stick to the windshield of the car :) IMPORTANT: Be careful of overheating, the rim must not burn your hands, it should be pleasantly warm. !!! DO NOT USE THIS METHOD WITH CARBON RIMS !!! The tire will last a lot, but I recommend taking it off while cleaning. Cheers!

Do Di2 batteries require a break-in period? When I first started using my new Ultegra Di2 equipped Ribble, it seemed like I would use about 20% of the battery on every 30 or so mile ride, based on the display on my Garmin head unit. After a few months of riding however, the battery has stayed at fully charged for the last 4 rides. I was wondering if this is a matter of conditioning the battery, or is it just a quirk?
@chuckmccracken4136

Not sure what battery chemistry they use. However, I do not know of any that require a break-in period.
