New subscribe here. Until 2weekends ago I wasn’t on a 4wheeler sense I was 14-15. When I stopped riding wheelers with 4x4 was new. Road my sisters Honda foreman’s and it reminded me of how much fun it is. Your videos make me 300%. Confident in getting me and my wife a couple foreman’s. I want the rubicon with manual shift she wants a basic foreman. Love your vids even tho I’m late in the game

Works good! In the last example, when the front wheel lost all traction you could se that the other tire stoped trying to move. It’s because you need torque to actuate the diff brake. Good video!

btw i recommend you go for the maxxis zillas. they are well priced. they dont weigh a ton so they dont rob power from your machine either. i had 26"s on my 350 rancher last year and it went thru some crazy stuff with those tires on i tell ya. they got a 1.75" lug on them too. think my front tires weighed like 20lbs and the rears like 25lbs each tire. so barely nttn at all. liked em so much i got 4 of the exact same tires just in a 27" for my newer machine

Hey, amazing job in explaining the front diff. I have a question though. How does the rear diff work? I didn't know if the diff lock locked the back tire as well or if they were independent.
@JacobOverman
Жыл бұрын
The rear diff on all atv’s is locked all the time. Some sxs offer an open rear differential

i always get mudites since the original came out, they are light and float which is good for clay/bottomless mud and snow, and handling good for trail dual purpose, the xtr is too heavy the 2.0 mudlight is the best now. i got 2.0s now and i gained speed and you can go through anything in 2wd with the clearing and traction, and no vibration feels like stock tires but way better

How do you like the foot shift vs. the DCT? Have you had problems shift with work boots/winter boots/ hunting boots? Which transmission works better for winter/ hunting applications? I mostly ride in low for logging and farm work. Thanks
@JacobOverman
3 жыл бұрын
I never had a problem with boots. I had some issues with my waders being to big but they could still fit under the shifter. If your not mud riding specifically. I’d suggest a DCT. Footshift does get old after a while but ultimately more reliable

I have a CF Moto 400 recently bought. I didn't notice before but I do now. When I am in 2Hi I hear a humming sound, this is with the key in on but engine not fired up yet. But if I switch to 4Hi the humming goes away. If I go 4Hi diff lock I hear it again. Any idea??? Maybe it's always been there and I just didn't notice at first. Rookie to ATV

@@JacobOverman Yeah I've been putting mine off. Not sure it's that important to do. Maybe on a machine with 6k+ miles but not a new one. I had a 2000 Foreman 450S with near 5k miles on it and never had the valves adjusted. It did have a tick but had no problems idling or starting
