I have been to this place a bunch, but never went in. It was always sealed. But in 2006 I was working to clean up all the boats that floated out of the marina and the bunker was open. But water was all the way to the top. You could only go in 3 steps or so. I always wanted to get a huge trash pump and completely drain it. Looks like someone did it. Recently (2022) I worked on a team that removed a ton of old infostructure from charity hospital. I got a lot of cool footage from that. Just need to wait a bit before I upload it.

What an awesome bunker! It reminds me of the one that John Connor and Kate Brewster ended up in at the end of Terminator 3, Rise of the Machines! It's an absolute shame that they let it fall into disrepair like this! The "Emergency Shower" is for decontamination of nuclear fallout or chemical weapons agents.

New orleans has one of the most complex and well designed drainage and pump infrastructure, it floods everytime it rains but it gets dealt with VERY quickly. New Orleans wouldn’t be able to operate with out it!

Why would they even build a bunker or even a basement in New Orleans, the place is literally know for flooding and being under sea level, this would be the worst place to go during a hurricane. According to some of the old articles this was considered a bomb shelter, but still why wouldn’t they build it in higher ground so all the stuff they have in storage doesn’t end up flooded like it is now from even a small tropical storm.

Government here cant fix the roads or fix the crime. I saw a person living in a pot hole in the street once. like a cave in the middle of the road complete with bed mattress for sleeping. others use the pot holes as personal jacuzzies. and its the murder capitol of the country. not to mention if there ever is any money floating around all the city officials steal it. from city hall to the people at the water and sewer board stealing overtime pay not worked.

Why is the male narrator of this video even THERE!! He is so whiny and complaining throughout, that I don’t think he’s into being an explorer at all. He seems so full of fear, that it is really distracting to watch the video. I much prefer the female explorer, who seems very brave, curious, and adventurous.
