Clothes is definitely something that we can easily spend money on. I think also probably because you have a love for clothes and fashion. I agree with you on how we can get caught up endless trends and influencers . Thank you for sharing

Hey Wesley thanks for watching, and yes my interest in clothes and personal style plays a huge role in my financial decisions when it comes to shopping. I don't mean for this video to discourage other fashion youtubers from creating content, just wanted to share my current thoughts. Cheers brother!

This really resonated with me. I can relate to every single point you made. During lockdown, I actually made a conscious decision to quit fashion altogether. I've kept my favourite pieces from before (Common Projects, CDG converse etc) but I've also kinda become a minimalist and gotten rid of 70% of my clothes and other stuff. It's honestly been so liberating. And I've now got so much more money that I can either save or spend on amazing experiences that I couldn't previously afford. Great video 🤙🏾

All the more to you man! I'm glad my thoughts were able to speak with someone. Its great to finally push aside a huge distraction, mentally and financially and have more clarity on other aspects of your interests and hobbies. Same dude, I'm slowly giving away my clothes....I don't need all this excess. Thank you for watching and for your kind words! Take care.

This also really resonated with me and I’m happy you put out this video. I think the fashion community like many others becomes almost cult-like. It’s easy to get sucked in and get too conscious of how you portray yourself to others. Seeing youtubers’ pickups and hauls made me want to go out and drop unnecessarily loads of cash for what exactly? Especially when it comes to fashion subcultures they become circle jerks. You almost feel like you have to box inner self in to match the clothes you wear. I think my ocd definitely played a role but I think getting to heavily into “expressing yourself” through clothing can be dangerous. I think it’s best to just focus on the things that really matter in life, goals, relationships, etc. Its really not worth stressing over what others think of you. Anyways that’s just my two cents. Great video man!

Hey Jacob, you hit the nail on it real glad you can relate to what I'm saying. Social media has become this vortex of consumerism where we are bombarded with images to influence us into staying relevant. I got caught up in the whole "expressing yourself" and used it as a pathetic excuse to buy more clothes...disgusting. Yes, focusing on whats real is more important in life, 1000% agree. Stay safe brother!
