@MegaKimberland Nice. And I don't care about being called a dog and cat lady. In all seriousness now- relationships are hard and I would much rather live alone rescuing the strays from my city, (I'm in México) than deal with that. It's hard and no one is truly happy but I can honestly say that I'm living such a peaceful life without them. Love men but oh my, they're so tough. I wish you well!

0:46 We have a lot to thank the Greeks for... system of government (ahem persian), Justice system and human rights (ahem persian), plumbing (ahem persian)... Ok, so maybe we don't owe the ancient Persians directly since Alexander of Macedonia took what he saw in Persia, implementing it to Greek society.
@sevothtartesama18

Democracy is not Persian. Justice systems comes directly from the Goddess Demeter. Plumbing was there WAAAAAAAY before Alexander. Ancient Greeks even knew to use ceramic pipes for drinking water, because metals could cause poisoning. Persian culture is amazing. But your comment is not it. The Persians, the Chinese, the Egyptians and the Greeks have all given culture the world over.

This whole video is a joke and an offence to the Greek legacy and history. Ancient Greeks were extremely conservatives. If you were a sexual delinquent(even straight not just homosexual. But especially if you were gay) in ancient Greece you were at best exiled from the city state dammed to live and die in the wilderness. Some even were publicly executed. And this is about Athens the progressive's you don't want to know about Sparta. This whole misunderstanding is mainly because of the word the ancient Greeks used for love. Which meant to deeply care for an individual and only that. They were very explicit with their use of words. But by the time all those documents were translated in English the meaning was changed to mean sexual partner. Just like the word gay meant happy, queer meant weird and others that 50 years ago meant completely different things. Imagine that but not in a spa of 50 years but 2000. So yeah... you should take this video down.

Something tells me you’re Greek. And that you live in Greece. But same-sex relations in ancient Greece are historical record and you are wrong just because you’re assigning your own values to it. Pederasty was a definite practice and the Olympics were only performed by men in the nude and women could not watch.
@elessarKP

@@SWLinPHX yes I am indeed. This is exactly the problem I am talking about. The word εραστής meaning lover now days means sexual lover but in ancient Greece meant to love and care for something only in the emotional level. The gymnasium was the only space were you could walk around naked. Otherwise it was inappropriate behavior conduct. The Olympics are irrelevant to the sexual life of ancient Greece. They were indeed compete naked but not because of sexual intent but because it was easier that way. No special equipment back then. Also I am not projecting my own values. This is how the things were. When ancient Greeks talked about sexual deeds they were very specific in words they used. It is just linguistic gap. This same problem existed in Greece in the early 20th century. With many words of the Κatharevusa, the puristic Modern Greek literary language, which used to be even more close related to ancient Greek. It and ancient Greek had so many grammar rules that was almost impossible to use a word outside of their literal meaning. While modern Greek just like all the other latin languages can very easily be used out of context and words to have a more vague definition. Just like the word gay.

@@blarghwagurder i am not. not even in the slightest. I know my language. And the basic meaning of the words and the word Ερωτας does not mean sexual interforce in it's basic meaning. But rather to love and care for someone.
