Do you ever run in zero drop shoes? Would you use them for long distance?

TLDR; The shoes have no cushion; and for long runs you need cushion, so they're good training shoes for runs, but when it comes to actually running, however, I wouldn't use them especially for long distance runs! Honestly, I don't know what his opinion is, but you have to keep in mind that these shoes are specifically made to feel like you have no shoes on at all! Like that is their number 1 selling point(they popped up in "2019" (not sure on the correct year) and were very popular for a couple months until the news trashed the news, but not completely, bc what they reported wasn't technically true, but back on topic, the shoes make you feel like you have no shoes on, and idk abt you but I like my feet to have a cushion under them when I run, so I don't feel every Crack, any size rocks(could literally be any size), and every dip in the road, so my answer is they will not be comfortable for long distance runs so I wouldn't use them!

That’s sort of thing needs to be implemented slowly and carefully. Got to put the time and research to do it right basically

Since these years we’ve been raised to wear cushioned high stack/ heel shoes. I recommended by starting to walk barefoot in the home and looking up foot exercises

@@H30DELRIOUS I agree with what you said in terms of barefoot shoes but there are zero drop shoes that have respectable cushion for long runs (the Altra Escalante 2.5 for example). I was thinking of those rather than barefoot.

I am a long distance barefoot runner and your feet will not hurt if you run far in barefoot shoes IF your feet are trained and adapted for long runs. When I changed to barefoot running my feet would get sore after only a few miles but now having only worn barefoot shoes for 8 months my feet can handle 15+ mile runs and be fine the next day. You do have to avoid rocks on pavement though because that can hurt.

Any reason you don’t run in shoes with a wider toe box then? Seems like your toes would get squashed when running in regular Nikes etc…

Vivobarefoot is high end leather that is often hand crafted which is why they are so expensive. They’ll last four times as long as any Nike tho and cuz it’s barefoot you don’t have to worry about your sole packing out. I personally train in cheap Amazon barefoot shoes and only have vivos if I wanna be stylish
