@@TomsCoffeeCorner yea they like coffee a lot as finnish they are, they drink a lot and this machine is really good expect the price i would say it is a bit too high but here comes offers that you can buy this for even 180euro so i think its a good deal. I have myself a braun cheap one for brewing and i just put 90degree hot water to brew but still doesnt compare with the moccamaster.

@@tristanwwsd More work, though. Unless you are a completely uncompromising perfectionist, who insists on washing/preheating the filter, blooming the bed before the main brew and stirring the grounds almost al the way through. In that case, the Moccamaster is arguably more work. But for more "normal" people, who still wants a very good cup of coffee, simply putting in filter, water and coffee, then pressing the button and walking away, still nets a very good cup as long as the coffee and grind is suitable. Possible caveats being if you prefer VERY light or dark roasted beans, and or very freshly roasted ones which blooms unusually aggressively. In both cases you may want to brew: At a different temperature in the former case; and while stirring the bed a bit throughout the brew in the latter. At which point, the "press a button" simplicity edge, starts weakening, and you may as well go full manual.

Thanks for your comment! I feel like this machine simply makes a better brew, with its temperature stability, and the manner in which the coffee blooms. But it’s good to hear that there are other ways to take advantage of the Keurig.

I have a full size Technivorm Moccamaster since a quarter of a century. It is the one with the thermopot And it runs as perfectly as it did fresh out of the box. Makes real good coffee But one thing is to be considered. It does best on a full load. A pot that holds a liter is not meant to produce a single cup. Physics, right? So Technivorm produced the product that is the solution. Because now and then I only want a single cup. But I battle with myself. Another coffee machine just for the now and then "one cup only" situation? That is crazy, isn't it? But then again, I have a Bialetti, a V60 and a Gaggia Baby (currently deconstructed and waiting for a PID, indefinitly) So who am I kidding, am I right? One more is not crazy

Two things. Dunkin coffee ? I put that in the category as below average coffee. Second, placing your mouth to blow out that clog is no bueno. I’ll stick with my Chemex. I can easily adjust my levels to make 1-3 cups instead of brewing 3 separate cups on the Mocca. I would consider the Moccamaster large volume if I needed to make a pot at a time.
