One thing is to teach, another is to "educate". A teacher can educate with rules, grades and treats, like if you're a pet. But to teach is something not everyone is made for. Teaching is interacting with your students not like your students but as persons. Teachers often rather educate because it's easier than teach because it requires more knowledge about the subjects and patience to explain.

+cerealidad Education is not that. You're looking for the word "instruct." Don't worry, it's a typically misused word, like theory. Education is what's up there, and more. It is being given knowledge and the desire and discipline to seek out more. To figure out this world and how you want to fit in it. Instruction is what is mandatory for a wage-slave occupation. Education is learning how to thrive.

Unfortunately, most teachers make a difference for the *worse*. My teachers made me hate and fear: math, sports, classrooms, the smell of chalk, the French language, being told what to do, Christianity, middle-aged women, and so many other things. Pretty much everything in my life that they touched, they ruined, and it's been a lot of work to fix *some* of the damage.

I had better teachers than you. I had an ROTC teacher that changed my study habits & note taking for the rest of my high school career, that helped me pass every other class. I had an English teacher that gave me an appreciation for Shakespeare, encouraging the students to act it out in class.

If only most teachers had the mentality of actually encouraging students to think critically and were actually passionate about their work. To me it just seems like a lot of them hate what they do, specially older ones, which makes students hate them for it in return.

finalcountdown3210 its garbage and it advocates an enslavement institution that is schools. We aren't taught we forced. We don't learn we remember. They dont teach us to qustion they teach us to obey. Teachers don't do shit. Its the old rich men who want profit not the security of are well being that established what schools are

Crummy teachers, you got. I learned to hate the subjects on my own, I only got through highschool because I liked my teachers and their passion for the subjects they taught.

You should really proofread your work. When you put that much effort into something, it'd be more gratifying for you if it was correct.

Why would you teach a child to say “GD”? You sound extremely angry here. I hope you don’t “teach” anger as well!
