It's all too easy to assume that the box of a UVB bulb tells you all you need to know about it, but this couldn't be further from the truth. Even great products - like ZooMed Reptisun bulbs and Arcadia's range of flourescents - are guilty of having misleading packaging. In today's video, I therefore address the topic of how to choose a UVB bulb for your reptile using Ferguson zones. This is the only way that you can really be sure that you're giving your reptiles the appropriate UV index.
I recommend getting your own Solarmeter 6.5 so that you can check your bulb's output as time goes by. You can get one from Amazon here -
