After moving to Iceland, did you ever feel like Iceland was too desolated and calm. It's not a typical place to live, so even though it may have been super exciting and nice being surrounded by the awesome landscape, did you ever want a break from Iceland or has this never occurred to you before? Also, what are some cons of Iceland other than the cost of living there?
@IcelandwithaView

Actually not at all! I've never felt more at home anywhere in the world than I do in Iceland 😊 As for the less amazing things, I wrote a blog post about that: www.livelifewithaview.com/worst-things-living-iceland/

I'm not sure that it's still there (this video was made 4 years ago) but check out my Reykjavik digital map where I've marked all the best locations for street art and start exploring the city! ~ icelandwithaview.com/product/reykjavik-map/

Thanks for the terrific tips Jeanie! I’ll be there in a few more months, I can’t wait. Just wondering, does it get very snowy in November?

Hi Chalida! My guidebooks and specifically my Reykjavik digital map have all the parking garages in the city! I've also included info about the cost to park in each garage: icelandwithaview.com/product/reykjavik-map/

Nice video! But there is also a place, Thufa it's called, and it's like half a grass ball and u can climb up (there is a path). It's a monument for the graves of Vikings and ( guess what)👉 in July noone else was there. And it is in the old harbor and Harpa can be seen from it ( I think you can also see it from Harpa). Surely better from the famous ship statue but in a less touristic side , near the sea

Need help please... I will be making a quick stop at Keflavik International Airport en route to Oslo. My layover is for twenty-six (26) hours only, which I did on purpose just to really get a little taste of Reykjavik. My trips to Europe always make a stop there for a few hours so this time I thought I'd extend it. Can you please suggest where I can spend a good portion of my layover, where to stay overnight, including transportation maybe. I like the idea of checking out the old town, having local drinks and cuisine, and a little shopping. It's a good thing I get to Keflavik before 9:00 AM mid September, so I will have all day to explore. Thank you in advance. Thanks for the video post by the way. Thumbs up!

Just a small wish - could you please place the embedded texts (like place names) somewhere on the top instead of the bottom of the video? As of now, automatic subtitles go over the text.

If you head out to the lighthouse at grótta keep an eye on the tide since it can rise quickly and you can get stuck out there. Also it is not allowed to go out there from 1.may- 15.july.

Wow what an informative video.i am going there in Dec and I hope I will see all the places.Infact there are 40 places in the Ring Road which I want to see.May be I will gave to come a few more times. For those who are planning to visit Iceland please be aware Reykjavik is very costly!!!.This is how I have divided Iceland for seeing the epic locations South ,SW,SE/W/N,NE/E / Then continues. It will difficult to see all the 40 odd locations of great natural beauty in one holiday.but can be done over 3 or 4 holidays.cant wait to see Reykjavik.

Shlomo Oyveyshekelsteinberg I hope they don’t sleaze their way into this beautiful place , some of them seemed interested in the Faroe Islands online and I told them to stay the fuck away from that place ,there are too many of them everywhere else and they are like a fucking cancer, they spread and try to take over every culture and religion where they live. It’s not right. I fucking hate them!!
