Been researching for our trip to Japan and stumbled into this vlog. What separates Nicole and Mico from other travel vlogs is their chemistry and energy that feeds off each other. Looking forward to following you guys around the world.

I’ve been binge watching your Japan vids. So much fun and discoveries! By the way, that “samurai guy” is a monk from a Buddhist temple, they sometimes go out to ask for alms.

Going to Japan with our daughter and I'm wondering how to navigate this part of Japan because we do wanna go out at night. What time did the nightlife get started? Figure maybe we can just start early and end early if we have to.

Hey! We got to Kabukicho around 8:30 and everything was very lively. I think nightlife can go all night in Japan, but the metro closes at midnight so we had to leave around 11:30. You could enjoy the cool look of the lights in the area as soon as it gets dark though!

The places are quite small but I don’t remember any short doors. To be honest though I wouldn’t be too surprised if there were a few. Some places were quite cozy!
Hey there! Love your videos as always! Thank you for posting this. I’m actually heading to Japan next month for three weeks. Do you find it’s getting really cold there? I didn’t see many people wearing sweaters in your video so I’m curious. Also, I believe I saw you are using the insta 360 ? I just bought the go 3. How do you like it? Thank you!

The man standing wearing something like a kimono is ``Takuhatsu.'' Like a monk in training. The man takes money and food and walks. The English word is "Mendicant".

You're so right, night time is THE best time to check out Shinjuku. We stayed around there and had the most fun at Golden Gai. In the same way there are multi levels of restos, we also liked exploring the multi floor bars in Golden Gai too. Hunting for an open spot is half the fun, at least that's what we told ourselves. Glad you got to experience it, Tokyo nightlife is unlike anything we've experienced!

Staying in Shinjuku would be so fun because then you don't have to worry about leaving to catch the last train at midnight! We wished we could have stayed out later for sure. It sounds like you guys really made the most of it! Japan is just incredible!

Those are very much hole-in-the-wall or capsule bars and look so interesting. And would you say the pub/bar was the top part of your night experience, and how many more have you been to?

Totally agree! We would love to visit again soon. Just an hour in that little bar wasn’t enough!
