I loved Jill’s comment that she got “roped” into doing the suspension bridge as she is walking on a platform held up by ropes! 😂

Wooohooo! Loved the new intro Jill and Jerry! Nice to see you are promoting yourselves, and ask for people to subscribe. This vlog brought back memories of our Landsea Tour from back in 2018. This was our first Alaska cruise out of Vancouver, and we did the same tour, pre embarkation. God, I held on for dear life going across that bridge! Yikes! I did find going back wasn't as bad. We highly enjoyed the tour and tour guide, as you did, yes pickup and drop off at our hotel which was seamless. Soooo we booked them for our pre Alaska cruise in 2020. Yes, you know where this is going. We had booked the Victoria BC tour, which included the ferry over and back, as well as the Whistler/Shannon Falls tour. So we had a good chunk of money tied up between the 2 tours. Their customer service was fantastic! I was in touch with a lady, right through til we finally were able to sail in 2022. We didn't lose our money, and once I knew our cruise schedule I was able to give them new dates for the tours, and they applied our credit. We would highly recommend the company and tour guides! Cheers from London, Ontario.

@@CruisingCanucks We also liked that they were a smaller group tour, as opposed to the huge tour buses. Much easier for the tour guide to give a more personalized and intimate experience.

Lived in that area 1985-1990 and always enjoyed Stanley Park! Those were the days when the aquarium was absolutely amazing! The suspension bridge was pretty much an unknown and usually never another sole around...wow...look at it now! Granville is another fantastic place to visit, especially when one takes the cute little Granville Ferries. I don't remember the lookout being there...but those mountains never get old. Quite the action packed day for sure!!

A tip that will save money: Lynn Valley, also in North Van, has a suspension bridge and trails and is FREE! The public transit bus stops outside the car park. Save your money skip Capilano - Lynn Valley isnt packed either! It has a cafe and toilet.
@BCYvonneEd

I would agree. When we have visitors from out of town, we take them to Lynn Valley. I've never gone to Capilano because of the cost. Another great place for a free visit is the Capilano Salmon Hatchery. In later summer and early fall you can observe salmon swimming/leaping upstream from viewing areas outside or through glass viewing areas lining the hatchery fish ladder.

@@BCYvonneEd thanks for the Capilano salmon hatchery suggestion. We’re from 🇬🇧 but our daughter lives in Burnaby and she recommended Lynn Valley instead of Capilano. It’s so beautiful there and the suspension bridge isn’t as long so for those of us with a fear of heights, it’s “easier” to walk across. There were poster warnings about recent bear and cougar sightings but luckily I didn’t encounter any! I was by myself but asking a family if I could walk along with them and all was fine. No bears or cougars! We are back in Vancouver in a couple of weeks and I’ll take my husband to Lynn Valley as well. If we have time we’ll visit the salmon hatchery

We just did the Capilano Suspension Bridge a few days ago; last time we did it was many, many years ago when it was just the bridge and a couple of trails. It has definitely become a world class attraction. We spent over 4 hours there, so we saw the raptor demonstration and had lunch at the cliff restaurant, as well as the tree walk and cliff walk. Did you get your certificate that says "I survived the world-famous Capilano Suspension Bridge"?

Congrats on the bridge and forest walks in the air. As a 75yo with vertigo issues not for me anymore. Well done to you both. Re : Food pricing in Market Place in Granville is no different to going to local golf club or similar type clubhouse. Converting metres to feet is quite simple. 113 metres * 3 = 339 then take first 2 digits ( in this case 33) therefore total is approx. 372 feet not 500 feet as you mentioned. To convert feet to metres quickly multiply by 3(372*3 = 113.6 or rounded up 114). Centigrade to Fahrenheit is multiply (25c + 15) * 2 = 80f In reverse 80f/2 = 40 -15 = 25c Kilometres to miles 100k * 6 = 60mph Mph to kilometres 70 / 6 = 166k approx. Keep for future use as in Oz have to use these formulae constantly when travelling the world. Cheers keith
