I used to work at a site that had an Imagination Parade in October and loved it. I still call it that even though my current site doesn't.

I am that parent, I didn't have my child pulled from holiday parties but from movie veiwing. The movies that were choosen or voted on were secular and or too graphic for my child, who was prone to bad dreams. I would tell the teacher as soon as I learned about it but telling her the night before would happen because i didn't want her to forget. My daughter was always aware that she was not to view the movie. One time the teacher said she would have my daughter do school work during the movie, (the movie was a class reward) i said no, if there wasn't anything fun for her to do that I would come pick her up and bring her back after the movie. They gave her art supplies to create something fun. (This was in elementary)

I'm facing this exact situation. I have 1 child who is Jehovah’s Witnesses. Here's my problem. Our 4 and 5 year old will be singing holiday songs for Senior citizens at their luncheon. What do I do for my 1 student who cannot participate.

Can the child pass out programs and lyrics to the crowd? Not certain if that would be allowed or not.. tough situation for sure.

As a former Jehovah's Witness this was an excellent video. I am now a new teacher and Christian and do all the holidays but I appreciate your sensitivity to this subject.
