I never had them until 4 months ago and I am 30 in November. It’s one of the most painful and scary experiences I’ve ever been through. My first one I completely collapsed without notice and hit my face on a door frame. Woke up in an ambulance. 2nd one was last month. I collapsed on the patio and possibly hit my head. 3rd time was on vacation and I got tunnel vision right before so I looked my partner dead in the eyes and said “It’s happening” while I slowly lowered myself to the ground. Every time I convulsed so hard I was foaming and I was extremely sore all over for a week. I wouldn’t wish it upon my enemy.

But yes, the confusion of not knowing who you are, where you are, what happened, and who certain people are is a thing for about 10-15 minutes after coming to

Today I was walking in the city and someone fell face first and had a seizure. I’m watching this because it can be really useful to have this knowledge.

I work in recovery as nurse (just started alittle over a month ago) and I had my first patient seizure today. I had to call out for help (and to call 911) because I couldn't get him off the seat he was sitting on (I'm 4"10 and 105 pounds). I was lucky enough I had one of my RS's come over and help me get him off the chair and put him on his side since he was so contracted (in fetal position while in the chair) and heavy to move. I didn't try to hold him down or anything, but I knew I needed to get him off that chair and onto his side to prevent aspiration or choking. He ended up being fine and was sent to the hospital for observation. I've dealt with intense medical situations like this a long time ago (wasn't a nurse then) and didn't panic but now I know I still have it.

Thanks I wish I could find this video 7 years back when I was in school, my bench partner had severe seizures and she was shaking so badly Also something was coming from her mouth but at that time I couldn't understand what was happening so I just called my teacher for help and luckily she handled everything well 😀

Had my first ever one the other day I'm 23 and non epileptic. Luckily people were around and I got out of it but my whole body hurts and I bit my tounge and find it hard to eat for the time being. I feel so sorry for people who get these often. I felt so sick after and didn't know what happened I thought I fainted but no I unfortunately had a seizure.

Can you time an oncoming seizure? I have HM and from what I have been reading there are signs like the first stage is prodrome and so on...I'm here because I have been keeping track of Marvon McCray's story and the lady is timing the seizures. "You got 5 mins, You got 10 mins..." I'm trying to understand because I never knew it worked that way. Plus I generally would feel better if I knew in case someone needed help. My mom has had them recently. They were discovered during an ER visit. According to my grams, I believe it's hereditary with my family on my mom's side. I think that's why my mom fell during physical therapy, too. She got hurt really bad. She's still not able to walk around without help.

I witnessed a young female having a seizure hitting her head against a hand rail on the bus on my way to work. I think stress triggered her seizure because before her episode she was arguing on her phone with her bf.

If u can do it before great but not recommended. U can hurt them more and u need to keep yourself safe. A convulsion is like having 500 bolts of lightning going through your body at once that they can't control
