A tv show I have recently become into is Extreme Cake Makers on Netflix. Seeing these bakers painstakingly create pieces of art. One lady had to create a Faberge egg with a life like bust of the person who the cake was for inside it was incredible. These are artists and seeing their dedication, skill and passion for their work inspires my own creativity. Thankfully here in the UK slowly but surely the cinemas and theatres are reopening its now about safety precautions. So I can get back to that but thank God for the National Theatre, Young Vic and so on airing their productions during the summer. It’s been wonderful to have that. I also have started learning a lamguage

It would the Star bellies for one of the five stories and then the next year it be yertle the turtle) I never liked it because I have never liked Dr.Suess books and all that stuff. I have SO enjoyed getting to take time for myself musically. Its so good to just work on your singing, just for yourself instead of for a job. The free time, (not that I'm not busy) has been incredible, to just freely sing and work on "literally anything I love", has not only been lovely emotionally, but has also improved me technically. I've learned, not being busy working on music you have to perform within a short amount of time, gives you more time to actually really improve just as an all round vocalist. Its been a great time for self discovery vocally for me.

I'm glad your doing better! I've finally been listening to musicals, trying to find new ones to listen to and literally re-watching Newsies and Hamilton on Disney plus 100 times 😂

I’ve just been cast as Lydia and Barbara in a community cast recording of Beetlejuice! It’s so nice to finally be able to get back into doing what I love and getting myself out there one step at a time!! I love your content and thank you for keeping my theatric heart alive during these rough times 💕💕

My saving grace during quarantine was designing sets and costumes for shows I want to work on one day! A quick trip to hobby lobby and I had enough crafty supplies to build 5 scale models of my designs and it was so theraputic and genuinely fun! If anyone is interested in the design side of theatre would HIGHLY recommend

QOTD: I’ve been having a really rough and miserable time. With my anxiety and depression being the icing on the cake with everything else going on, it’s been really bad. Feeling hopeless and have given up on dreams on being in movies as a actress. But thank you so much Kat for being so entertaining during quarantine and I’m glad you’re feeling better. ❤️

Kat, I feel you. I had just auditioned for a show, if you were wondering the show is it is We Will Rock You (it’s at a small theatre near me), and we did about 4 rehearsals and BOOM COVID-19 hit, I miss going out on a Monday to my theatre and just seeing my dance teacher :(

I lost a contract at the start of quarantine so my mental health was pretty bad over the last few months but thankfully theatre work is VERY slowly coming back in the UK! I'm glad you're feeling better and hopefully things will start getting back to normal in the US soon too 💕

Omg yes I barely have time to perform for myself (I do a lot of Fake Casting competitions on Instagram) and you’re constantly singing/performing to win. So Kat, that tip hit hard 🥺💖

It took a while to hit me, but I haven't been doing my best. I was super sick this summer, and my mental health isn't great when I'm not doing anything; I also haven't really been able to listen to musicals. I've listened to a few lately, but still can't handle a lot. My little community theatre had to cancel two shows in production, one during tech week. The plan was to do Fun Home in June, but that obviously didn't happen. So on the night we should've opened, I curled up and listened to the cast recording, and cried, and imagined all it should've been, deserved to be. And it was so meaningful. A few things are starting to open up here, and all I want is to be in my theatre, but that's still not safe. There's a line that keeps popping into my mind these past few months; from Fun Home (who'da thunk): "Maybe not right now, maybe not right now." along with it's accompanying "I want, I want, I want, ah-ah-aaah." It nearly always makes me cry, and it sums up my feelings right now so succinctly, and so poignantly. Maybe not right now. / I want, I want, I want.

I’m sorry that you are having a tough time ❤️ my show was also cancelled and it’s really emotionally taxing. My high-school was supposed to perform Anything Goes in March 13th but before the final dress we found out it was cancelled. We were able to perform it that night for our parents but I was really upset because I wanted to show the school how good we were. It was one of the first times I was confident in our show and felt so proud. Our entire cast learned how to tap dance and during the tap break in the title song the whole audience starting cheering which was the best feeling. I was sad that we couldn’t wow the whole school community with something that we had worked so hard on for months. So I definitely relate to listening to the cast album, there are multiple occasions that I just cried about it or watched the video of the full dress run through and cried. I’m doing better now so I hope you can feel better soon ❤️

I totally get it! I wanted to start auditioning for Broadway and national tours before quarantine started, so it’s very hard to find auditions. But now I’m starting to virtually audition for professional musical theatre! So I’m doing a lot better. Also I LOVE Backstage. It’s amazing.

Something that I’ve been participating is a collaborative musical medley for all of the community theatres in my area. We get a song every week & film our vocal parts & a super talented music director edits them all together & makes a medley! It’s been so fun during quarantine

Hi Kat! You probably won’t see this, but I just wanted to say thank you for still posting all of you videos during quarantine! I haven’t been seeing my friends much during COVID, but watching your videos makes me feel like I still have friends to talk to :) again, thank you so much!!!💕

I feel like I say this every time you make one of these videos and I'll probably say this every single other time you make one of these videos -- I don't know how to act or to sing. I'm one of those theater fans who enjoys shows, draws fan art, and my life isn't even focused solely on my theater fandoms (which I am particularly thankful for in these covid times) and typically I decide to watch your "advice for actors" type videos mostly because I want to support *you* as an individual. But despite all that, your words are always encouraging, and even helpful to me. It helps that I am an artist in other ways, but you've definitely got a way with words and a way to speak to your fanbase. 🥰 keep being okay, o glorious cult leader!

I miss theatre so much, in a way I never thought I would. And I live in Brazil, where we don't have such big of a theatre culture (well, not like Broadway, anyway). By now, we would be having a Chicago revival and I was sooooo looking forward to it :-( (never saw Chicago live before). Your chanel is my Broadway fix every week. Thanks for being such an awesome human being 🤗

Can you please do a video on everything a new theatre kid needs to know? (Musicals, terminology, superstitions, etc.) It would help me a lot bc I started theatre later than most people and I feel behind on things I need to know
