How did they renovate old trailers before sawzaw's?

Got to love all the glued paneling, right? Thank God for multi-tools! Wish I had known about the staple shark. I swear the builders get paid by the staple and nail. The worst part by far was gutting the ceilings. I've never seen more mouse crap in my life. I replaced all my insulation with rockwool. Water proof, fire proof, deters bugs and mice and provides sound insulation as well.

Go to Lowe’s and get the L shaped two sided claw. Smallest size and it’s like 10$. Perfect for getting small carpet staples up too

Or u could go to the gas station and get 50 cent in gas, that and a lighter will take care of your problem too. Lol

Were your walls sagging also? If so does the sistering help with the sagging.

Walls never sagged thank fully but the sistering was done for extra support to prevent sagging.

Are you anywhere near Plant City, FL by chance? The back of my trailer is riddled with termite damage (old). Did you have to address the rim joist or sill at all?

We are about an hour away from there. Because of all the termite damage we basically had reconstruct a new frame for the entire living room and kitchen space. We put in new joist on the walls and ceilings. That will be in the next couple of videos. It's a big job to tackle especially when you arent a 100% on what to do. Honestly we are probably at 50% lol. This is definitely a big learning experience for us.

@@superkeola Me too. I'm watching closely. My termite damage is on the back wall at the marriage line where the 2 parts meet. Scared to death if I pull the walls off, it'll fall. lol I wish you the best!
