Depositions are the process by which lawyers find out information from a potential witness in advance of the trial. Depositions take place under oath, usually in a conference room, without a judge present. The lawyers involved in the case will be present to hear your testimony.
In this video, Attorney Ready gives you a few things to be aware of before you deposition starts. He talks about the Court Reporter's role, how to respectfully hold your ground with a rude examining attorney, and when and why you might want an attorney to represent you.
