Here is my blog that has the patterns for specific yarn brands I find to be great for hair clips and headbands.

Hobby Lobby yarn - www.hobbylobby...
Flat Alligator hair clips - www.hobbylobby...
Nylon Headbands - www.amazon.com...
The patterns below will show different chains and rows for the specific brand of yarn but you are welcome to make them as you see fit to your own liking.
The big bows are what I use for my flat alligator clips and the small bows I use for the nylon headbands. These are all suggestions and what has worked well for me as far as size consistency goes.
IMPORTANT: You will join the first chain you made to form a circle and start your rows. Slip stitch and chain 1 at the end of each row. Always leave a tail long enough to wrap several times in the middle of your bow.
