So crazy how little peoples thinking on women has progressed in 1,400 yrs There is an American traveling exhibit called "What Were You Wearing". I think the range of clothing shown and the woman's (and mens) stories help to show that its not about the clothing but instead that persons perception of you. Its about them thinking that they are entitled to you and your body. Its about them not seeing you as equal. Its about them not seeing you as human. I highly recommend it!

@@karamhaikhudaka Sometimes people apply that term loosely. Encouraging caution is not victim blaming, but some people consider it to be. You should always look for errors in your own judgements and behavior, sometimes it won’t matter who is guilty if it could have been avoided by more cautious behavior. Trying to appeal to conscious of a perpetrator or a criminal if useless.

@@tamazraIf someone does something “stupid”(though it can just be out of ignorance)that doesn’t mean they can be blamed for that. That’s incredibly disgusting. If she’s not a criminal considering the bad act was done upon her, how is she to be blamed? Ignorance is not worthy of blame. She played no part in what happened to her, and the act was committed 100% by the offender.
@Dhfhucudu
Жыл бұрын
@@tamazra I know you r saying she isn’t legally a criminal, but you argued for her taking the blame. People are in no way responsible for what happen to themselves. Even if you don’t mean to condemn the victim, it is when you r victim blaming here. A person doesn’t have a responsibility for their life if that act is imposed upon them by others. The reason we tell people to exercise caution for their lives is ONLY for the sake of their own good so they don’t get into such a situation but not because they will end up responsible for their lives. There’s a reason why criminals are legally responsible for imposing an act upon a victim and not the victim themselves. Criminals are both legally and morally responsible for killing a victim. When lions kill a victim, they are not to blame because they don’t have a good understanding and the incident is simply a tragedy with no one to really blame. With religious people, they are human with the capacity to know better. Yes, they shouldn’t be taken seriously, but they r still to blame for such deaths. Don’t get me wrong. If a victim knowingly gets herself into a stupid situation where she knows what will happen to her, she is 100% stupid. But she still isn’t accountable for what happens to her. She’s already gone through enough punishment, so she doesn’t need to take the blame for what happened to her too.

On my LinkedIn recently a girl with a photo where you could only see her 👀 was saying how proud she was that her law firm asked her to travel a certain number of miles away from her home office to another office location. It was too far so she needed a mahram so what happened was her dad attended and the law firm in fact paid all expenses for both her and her dad!! And she was praising them for being so inclusive 🤦🏾♀️🐰. I think it’s appalling that her not being able to travel to another OFFICE without her dad is considered by her as being totally normal, but I guess unfortunately that is her ‘choice’. 🤦🏾♀️🐰

To be fair both characters are fools. Sleaze ball is hypocritical in that he's just as much a perpetuator of the treatment women receive as the sexist men, while at the same time the progressive chump fails to realize that indeed, with all these sleaze balls around, your daughter, sister, wife etc ain't safe in such an environment. Do you wilfully send your child into a minefield and then blame the mine layer who you don't even know as the culprit for their blown off leg? Even when there was a giant sign that said 'DANGER!, MINEFIELD, DO NOT ENTER!'. I mean yes, the guy who laid the mine is definitely at fault for the mine, but could you have prevented the incident? As a man you don't walk through a dangerous neighborhoods either unless you know you're safe or willing to risk it. It's your choice and its done at your own peril. If you get mugged or stabbed, yes the criminal is at fault for the incident but it's your own idea to think you could pass through a dangerous neighborhood or alley without any risk. Society should be safer for women (and men), but at what point do you take personal accountability? Things must always be looked at from both sides. In an ideal world, the woman should be able to walk around naked for all I care and nobody should bother her about it, but that's an ideal world, you have to deal with realities, not ideals that aren't present. If I had a daughter or wife, I'd advise them too to take a man with them knowing how many sleaze balls are around just waiting to jump on lone women. I wouldn't blame her if it did happen but I'd still try my best to keep my daughter or wife safe at any cost even if it meant advising them to cover up (just imagine what they do to uncovered women in the islamic world, it's just safer to wear a headscarf in that case). The whole islamic culture would need to change before women are safe and you'd be kind of foolish to just send women into dangerous situations expecting ideal outcomes because that is what you think an ideal world should be. Unless you want to turn your own wife or daughter into a martyr 💀

Rather than try to address the neighborhood safety or improve conditions for your kids by moving to better neighborhoods, you boldy go where I wouldn't dare, just send the little scamps to the most dangerous places and martyr them for your idealized society. Like I wouldn't tell my own wife or daughter to go unveiled through afghanistan knowing how those madmen would violate them and harass them. It's safe in europe but not in afghanistan. To tell them to just go without a veil and just boldly agitate and annoy the afghani men. Damn that takes some guts man. **claps** You're such a better and braver person than me man.

@@sethwisconsinboi55 btw you completely missed the point. To tell your wife or daughter in the west (europe or america) for example to go without a veil comes without any risk or danger attached to it so it is completely safe to tell them to go unveiled or without male escort for example. The same situation simply does not exist in islamic or backward countries. You'd be foolish to assume that your daughter and wife are completely safe in those situations where they are clearly vulnerable and a target for harrasement or worse. They are not safe in those situations unless they follow the local customs / expectations. You're a reckless individual who will martyr people for their idealized society. I'm heavily in favor of punishing men who violate women and am completely against the purity police for example but in a country where that is the norm, (which it shouldn't be) you're best and safest to keep to the local situation and adapt. You're just an idiot if you don't and expect the same results as if you were in a country where it is safe to do so. Walk through the minefield at your own peril.

As a man with 4 sisters and 2 daughters I get the whole" it's not the woman's fault just cause she is dressed provocatively" but there is a common sense and situational awareness aspect to all walks of life. If a man dressed in all red cause he likes the color then walks through a known crip( blue) gang area and gets beat up for dressing like the rival gang, wouldn't you say that although gangs are terrible but regardless you shouldn't provoke or do something YOU KNOW could cause a reaction and out yourself in a dangerous situation?? Trust me I'm 1000% not justifying evil men doing evil things to women but as a father I teach my kids to be situationally aware of the places they go and never put yourself in a situation that you could endanger yourself.. sadly promiscuous women dress a certain way to advertise to men to look at them, (although it's not"fair" life is not fair) so never dress in a suit of meat around lions, and don't dress provocatively if you don't want attention ( once again not victim blaming it's just situational awareness and common sense). OF COURSE it is terrible but unfortunately ppl in this crazy world can be terrible so why wouldn't ppl do everything in their power to stay safe. Victim blaming is rampant throughout the world, granted Islam has elevated it to holy levels. But the "present day" part could easily have been played out in any Christian country, even super progressive Sweden. It is a global problem, but again in "Western Countries" many do see the problem and criticize it without much fear of retribution. What especially got me was "what was SHE wearing", this gets brought up in news reporting and even at trials. Like it is the clothes that "makes" men sexually assault women, sickening.

Personally I used to like darkmatter2525, but their recent videos are too explicit/disgusting for me. (One can enlighten us about the absurdities in religions without resorting to bad taste, I'd say.)

FACT !Religious ( even very religious)Muslim women feel much more comfortable and relaxed in the company of non-Muslim men ( or non- religious " Muslim " men) than in the company of equally religious Muslim men. Why ? No explanation needed!

What? If someone is actually religious then why would you feel uncomfortable around them? are you talking about hypocrites? Have you even read the Quran??

love this! a concise way to show all of the holes in this line of thinking, sometimes it’s exhausting to explain over and over again why it makes no sense

I shouldn’t be writting this but this whole conversation reminds me of my husband. Currently I’m agnostic (born christian) but I was atheist when he married me and since then its been a few years since im researching islam. Sometimes I want to believe in it but than again I stumble upon some questionable verse that is crystal clear how it is meant. So I have doubts but he finds all excuses how to see it in a good way and why it makes sense…..its like talking to a wall and he says the same about me. He doesn’t even follow the religion properly , like most Egyptians. Living in that country made me see the most hypocrytical people ever. Girls wearing skin tight clothes and full face makeup, but most importantly they have hijab on. People listening to music, dancing, movies…etc. But can our daugter be a singer? Over my dead body! I still love Egypt tho it has great culture but the religion is really messed that up somehow (my opinion). I have no one to talk to about this, I’m stucked betweet two worlds..

Just a quick note, no one is "born Christian" it's Muslims who claim someone is "born Muslim" but at the end of the day no one is born Muslim as it's just a claim. Islam is quite easily proven to be false.

Why don't you show prophet Muhammad in an animation like this. Just to show how he acted when he was preaching the words of his pagan god
