A brand new cover and another collab! It's been amazing to work with the brilliant @DRguitar918! I hope I'm not the only one who'd like to collaborate in the future ;)
The final song to be completed for Beatles For Sale, What You're Doing was written by Paul McCartney in Atlantic City during a break in touring, along with the song Every Little Thing, which is structurally very similar to What You're Doing, perhaps explained by the fact they were written alongside each other.
Three Sessions were needed to record the song, 29th September, 30th September and 26th October 1964. The backing track consisted of George on the Rickenbacker 360/12, Paul on his 1963 Hofner 500/1, John on his 1964 Gibson "Manny's" J-160e, and Ringo on his Ludwig Drum kit. Following overdubs included George's solo, performed on his Rickenbacker 360/12, and Paul McCartney (Or perhaps George Martin) on the Steinway Grand Piano
For our cover, I'm using my 2015 Epiphone EJ-160e for John's Rhythm Guitar part, which I recorded with my Rode NT1A Condenser Microphone. The Guitar is equipped with D'Addario 0.12 Gauge Roundwounds (EJ21)
For George's Lead and Solo Guitar, Dom is using his Rickenbacker 360/12, which he recorded through his Vox AD100. His Guitar is equipped with Pyramid Gold Flatwounds!
Thank you for watching and waiting so patiently for a new video! Whilst I've been very busy as of recent, I'm going to try my best to create more consistent uploads!
