In Champ, I mostly see people TRYING these mechanics, but they can only hit them about 1 in 20 tries. So they just constantly fly into the opponent's goal with no boost, while turning the ball over, and leaving their teammate in a 1v2. Then they hit a nice mechanic on the 20th try and think they're a god.

I've considered myself a game sense player for a while too. Mid-Champ pretty easily in 2s and 3s, but most of the higher mechs I can't do. Many seasons ago when I finally put in the work on aerial training, I got more flip resets on accident than I've ever gotten on purpose just from having been so bad at normal aerials; though I've never successfully hit the ball again after getting a reset. Usually a rumble main and for the last 2 seasons I've actually gotten GC rewards from that playlist. Fully admit that rumble helps make up for a lack of mechs.

Wow, I identify hard with this. Playing since 2016, am marginally better with some ground stuff, but also actively ass in the air and off the wall. I just clean whiff like 30% of fast aerials, get a poor touch with bad aim 50% of the time, and maybe get some kind of successful touch for the remaining 20% -- less so for aerial scoring chances. This still got me to a peak of C2 in 2s with a regular teammate, though with the recent MMR adjustments I'm struggling to get back to C1. At 3s I'm miserable in comparison because speed to the air is so much more important there, and can't really get past D2 without being carried.

Never hit air dribbles, lose the ball all the time when trying to flick, etc. I prefer playing as a supporter, giving passes and staying a bit behind other players so I can defend and counterattack when time comes. This sounds about right to me, or makes sense anyway (I've only peaked high champ 2 with pretty poor mechanics)... It's the speed and ability to get to balls and position in variety of ways and from all sorts of positions where the difference starts to show the most I reckon. Champ 2 seems mostly fine, so I can't imagine it being a massive leap to C3 or even GC1. But you can feel the limit get closer with the above mentioned aspects of the game when you get closer to those ranks. On the other hand, I feel C2, C3, and possibly GC1 you can still abuse the lack of consistency because most players have the mechanical skills but can't consistently pull it off, and so a certain counter playstyle works against that really rather well still.

@@zero-ib4kj I guess it still varies until the end, but obviously there are other mechanics than air dribble and normal dribble. That ego test is wack. Even a noob can call out which pro is misplaying, that has absolutely nothing to do with ego. Instead, throw him in a match with a few higher rank players, tell him they're random, have them give him advice and see if he takes it. If he takes their advice as critique he has an ego problem, if he takes the advice positively he doesn't. In fact, the fact that you then slam him for correctly pointing out that that pro used a little bit more boost than they should've and then have the absurd bias that 'a pro coach' could have some remarks already shows your own ego, because you somehow can't accept that even a lower MMR player could point out a flaw in a pro. Not trying to be rude or mean, just very passionate about human psychology and the whole 'ego' subject is very interesting, but has nothing to do with what you were trying to catch him doing.

Biggest issues I have is toxic teammates lacking game sense. No I’m not “Going for it!” when you just whiffed past midfield. If I miss there’s no one defending, and if I do try to pass it there’s no point because you’re not in position. Only option is to go for a goal when there’s likely someone sitting in there waiting for a double commit. Then the “what a save!” If the opponents end up scoring, when they have a wide open 2v1 because you just whiffed, or better yet, passed them the ball. Then there’s always the teammates that will hit the ball away from you while you’re trying to set up a play if you’re not playing 1,000,000 mph. No point in keeping possession, just boom it away from me so the other team can have the ball because the ball ALWAYS HAS TO go to the opponents side as quick as possible in every situation. No point in thinking, just keep slamming it to their side and hope it goes in.
@BRNardy

I had a *_tournament_* teammate that, after I gave him a pass, straight up own goaled from mid field, got mad that *_I_* didn't defend *_his_* shot to *_our own net,_* spammed "What a Save!" in quick chat, and then left the game. This game is in dire need of good teammates that you can rely on, and I don't necessarily mean good, highly mechanical players. If you know when to pass, when to get a pass, when to rotate and fall back to defend, you're already a better teammate than 80% of the players in this game. I swear, every single time I think about slightly going into an offensive position, my teammates stay up front with me and leave us with no defense at all. Knowing that people like Rakor exist feels like a breeze of fresh air, dude, seriously. I wish I could play with him!

Im also keyboard and mouse Edit: - Cant speed flip - Cant ceiling shot - Cant Flip Reset - Cant musty - Can air dribble but a bit inconsistent - Extremely inconsistent dribble to air dribble, 1/10 maybe clean ones - I can dribble well - My reads/normal aerials are quite solid regarding reads and hits, but lack complexity in angles and air rolling abilities to setup for further plays like double taps, etc. (I only use free-Airroll) i dont even know what other mechanics to even mention lol

Lol, this is literally exactly me. C1, no mechanics... can't wave dash, can't aerial/air dribble, can't do the back flip turn around thing, can't fast faceoff, any of that....even that first dribble is just like mine, funny thing is that I thought I could dribble then you said that was bad, lol.

Definitely getting love vibes from this video. When you leave your toxic ex and find a super stable guy you can actually commit with and build a life together.

I'm actually more impressed his mechanics are so poor but he still made it to Champ. He's gotta be doing something else extremely well

i imagine how idea for this video appeared... "What if i take a silver player but will tell my viewers the he is champ?" Game sense can lead you to gold 1 maximum. Then the ball stats to be in the air most time of the game. And you can have a supper positioning, but unless your teammate is not couple ranks higher than you, you will not save hook shot(hello gold), air dribble and flicks(hello plat), double tap(hello diamonds) and so on... But maybe you play on NA and NA Champ is like EU Silver. That would explain everything.

It’s fun to see someone else like me lol, I’ve been around C1 for years and I never improve, I know ZERO mechanics, just play for fun and over time I’ve learned how to counter/defend against people with speedy mechs lol

As a champ 1-3 (depending on season with very little mechanics) with two kids and a career I am continually expanding my knowledge in, I'm tired AF. Good luck yall, power to you.

I have a guy that plays on Xbox that has never changed camera settings or game settings really and cannot air roll because boost is still B and air roll is x. He’s champ 2. Just powerful shots and amazing defense

Guitar player analogy: Rokor is like Eddie Van Halen. Whatever works, works. Every "technical" player (Malmstien, Satriani, etc. is trying too hard. Be like water.

Don't worry, you're being shown only gifted people on KZitem, and in the comments some people are way too cocky or even lying. Not ranking up doesn't mean you suck or you don't improve, it's just that the whole player base improves in the same time, so the nowadays gold is far better than the first golds in the game

@@adrahotlebelliqueux437 the frustrating thing is that this dude claims to be a champ… but he didn’t look like he did anything much better than I do… but I’ll go play solo-queue 2s for an hour and lose 5 times in a row in gold/plat. I try really hard to just play and have fun, but I get annoyed when I’ve played for 3 years and my rank is only marginally better than it was 3 years ago.

@@handsomepetevideos I feel you, I truely believe that the difference between you and the upper rank is always regularity, I am low champ since more than 2 or 3 years (I'm playing since release), and even if I feel like I make some kind of progress, it doesn't show in term of wins. Sometimes it's the context in which you play, for example, it you 100% focus on the game or if you have music in the background + a KZitem video playing. I don't know how to help you more than by saying that, but the situation in which you are is totally normal, maybe you lack of an important mechanic, tbh I don't know, but I wish you to find your trick to rank up
