I think one could say that the problem with the analogy is that, in the teacher-child case, we can say without much doubt that the child is still young so he/she lacks the knowledge/maturity to make good decisions for him/herself, while in the country-people case, there is no strong justification in saying the people in government actually are better decision makers than the rest of the people in the country, not to mention that there is a non-trivial chance that the people with power are acting in self interest rather than the interest of the general population. That's why while we could possibly say it's appropriate that a teacher might make some decisions for a child, the same might not be said for a government.
印度 is full democracy...but cannot make money there...singapore is one party rule and not democratic...but can make money...so using whether the democracy can help one to earn living does not mutually equalized....and our flaw on being delusional dualism is a tragedy of the common....
