Your boxes are beautiful! Great tutorial. I made a heart shaped fabric box 20 years ago or maybe longer. It is still in perfect condition. I think I bought the pattern from a quilt store. The inside bottom and inside cover has one layer of batting between the cardboard and fabric. It adds a bit of a cushion for whatever is placed inside. Now I want to make a paper one like you made.

Thank you for sharing your expertise! I enjoy hearing the history behind the crafts and your tutorials are easy to follow. I have a couple of older mass-produced, glued, hat boxes that I love, but your creations are much more interesting. I have just received the materials to start my first penny rug project, but this may be next. ☺

Hi Justine! The boxes are beautiful Kandye! I made marbled paper in art class in elementary in the 80s and remember it being so fun. We dripped ink into tubs of water with some kind of oil or mineral spirits and gently placed the paper down on top then picked it up from the corners. They all turned out really well and looked authentic. Your videos are never to long for me, I could watch all day😃
