I was rooting for a guitar amp. But, I did enjoy the suspense. Well done.

It's a fingers- crossed packing job. Need to double up on the boxes, one inside the other with styrofoam sheets or dense grey foam in between otherwise another box banging into it can cause a lot of damage. That is what destroyed a small plastic cased piece of test equipment which was only wrapped in bubble wrap. It got hit in one spot and bang the case was cracked in transit. Looking forward to the restoration to original Terry. Regards, Steve

Neat project! I also was curious what was being sent "across the pond" from the exotic locale known as Wisconsin.

I used to hate that foamy junk back in the '80s. The old IBM PC AT/XT junk was packed in it. When the college gets a few hundred units for offices and other work areas the bags of foam add up quickly. We gave a lot away to students to pack up their belongings when they moved on or flunked out.

I was really hoping for a big bottle o' wine. But, congratulations none-the-less. -.- -.. -.... -. -.-. .-.

Judging from the label on the box it originally held HVAC filters.

Here's a tip for all of you. if you ever run across a rig and can't find the label or it's illegible, look at the tube sockets. In most cases if a radio is factory built the sockets will be rivetted to the chassis, if it was a kit they will have bolts and nuts.

Terry (D-lab) always suggests that you use copious amounts of packing peanuts when you ship something to him ;*)

I'll be watching this series closely because I have that very same combination sitting on a shelf for restoration. I've watched some of your earlier Viking II videos already so, I'm looking for a hand-holding series to help me get through mine because, I couldn't ship mine to you for the job ... way too far away for anything less than double-boxed, Insta-Pak, and a wooden crate :-) 73! Oh, before I forget, do you plan on installing a D-Lab PTT card in this one? I definitely will be putting one in mine.

Hi Terry, I have a Pacemaker with rivets… dose that mean it’s factory built or was that only the AM gear… thanks..

Yes, if they used them for the tube sockets. The Pacemaker is a finicky transmitter. They look cool!

This kids a real character... And you must be kidding... Flimsy old box, not even double wall, not double boxed and not firmly packed with solid foam cut to size. Absolutely pathetic.
